The Duchess attended the reception at the Guinness Storehouse’s Gravity Bar as part of her tour of Ireland.
Kate and Prince William have spent the day in Dublin as part of an official visit that will last until Thursday.
She wore the Victorian-inspired glitzy dress which had a high neck and long sleeves.
The piece has been reported to be the ‘Falconetti’ dress from The Vampire’s Wife, £1,595.
The silk dress had a three quarter length style with ruffles at the hem and sleeves.
It had a chiffon overskirt and metallic sheen with a flattering slim fit design.
Kate was seen arriving at the reception and chose to brave the cold and step out without a jacket.
The royal completed the look with the same pair of emerald green stilettos she wore earlier in the day.
Kate accessorised her classy look with oversized drop gold earrings.
In her hands, she carried a small sparkly gold clutch bag.
Her dark brown locks were styled into her signature bouncy blow-dry.
In-keeping with the glamour of the reception, Kate wore a dark eyeshadow and lashings of mascara.
