Melania used Instagram to share a selection of pictures from the event.
In the caption, she wrote: “@POTUS and I enjoyed welcoming guests to the @WhiteHouse this evening for our celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth”
The pictures showed Donald and Melania smiling as they posed for photos with their guests.
She looked classy opting for a smart casual black dress and stiletto high heels.
Melania showed off her model figure in the form-fitting midi dress.
While the former model is usually decked out in the latest designer pieces, she chose a piece she has worn before.
The First Lady was spotted wearing the dress at the United Nations General Assembly in New York back in 2018.
The sleeveless utility dress had small black buttons down the entire length of it.
The item had a visible collar and buttoned pockets on the chest.
Melania’s dress had a fitted bodice that nipped her in at the waist.
It had a slightly looser midi skirt that was given texture with a small pleat and it cut off just above her ankle.
Melania dressed the look up with a pair of black stiletto high heel shoes.

The footwear appeared to be her favourite Manolo Blahnik BB pumps, costing £549.15.
Her thick dark locks were styled into a side parting and her hair had a slight curl.

She finished her make-up with a light pink lip gloss and a slick of bronzer.
The First Lady attended the reception one day after returning from a trip to India.
Melania joined Donald Trump on the official visit that lasted two days.
She donned a number of stylish designer outfits during the quick tour.
