Avril Lavigne Cancels Asian Tour Dates Due To Coronavirus Outbreak

Avril Lavigne has canceled the Asian leg of her “Head Above Water: World Tour 2020” due to coronavirus concerns.

Lavigne, 35, apologized to her fans on Instagram over the cancellation but assured that she is hoping to reschedule the canceled dates.

“I am so sad to announce that we are unable to tour the Asian markets due to the continuous outbreak of the coronavirus,” Lavigne wrote. “My band, crew and I have been working so hard to bring this tour worldwide and are completely bummed out.”

“Please everybody take care of yourselves and stay healthy,” she added. “You’re in my thoughts and prayers and we are hoping to announce rescheduled shows soon.”

The month-long 12-date Asian leg was scheduled to begin in Shenzhen in China, the country worst-hit by the virus, on April 23.
