Caprice vows she’ll never do reality TV again and ditches Dancing On Ice final
Caprice has told the Mirror she would never do another reality TV show again after Dancing On Ice.
The supermodel turned entrepreneur took part in the ITV series earlier this year but withdrew from the competition in January – after first splitting from professional partner Hamish Gaman after just one performance.
There had been reports Caprice had been axed from the final next weekend, but sources close to the US star have said she never had any intention to be there.
"This is yet another leaked story from Dancing on Ice. Caprice was never planning on going to the finals after she had quit. She does not want any affiliation with Dancing on Ice after what has happened," they told the Mirror.
Caprice previously revealed that she'd made the decision to step away from reality TV to instead focus on her business ventures, setting up a retreat abroad and landing more acting roles.
After finding fame in the 90s, the model, 48, has tried her hand at a number of TV ventures and not been away from out screens for long with appearances including CelebrityBig Brother , The Jump, Come Dine With Me and Britain's Next Top Model over the years.
But Caprice has said no more after her controversial Dancing On Ice stint.
It was previously reported Caprice could return to the ice and reunite with the stars at the grand finale on ITV next Sunday after her dramatic exit, but this won't be happening.
The news comes after judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean spoke out on the scandal.
The former Olympians said they'd heard rumours backstage that Caprice and Hamish weren't see eye to eye before their split.
Chris, 61, told The Mirror: "It was information passed on to us. It just sounded like they weren’t getting on.
"Caprice wanted to stay in the competition and that was the only way they could resolve it. So that’s what the producers decided to do.”
While Jayne, 62, added: "Mostly partnerships do have to get on. When you bring it to the ice, there has to be equal respect and trust.
“And so you have to make that work. And in partnerships where that doesn’t happen, they don’t last that long in the competitive world.”
Since leaving the ITV show, Caprice has made a triumphant return to the runway at London Fashion Week and launched a new By Caprice home range with Next and Appletree living.
The mum-of-two said her home is her 'haven' from work, where she enjoys a quiet life with her husband Ty Comfort and sons Jett and Jax.
Based around the signature silver/grey and white colour palette of her own abode, Caprice's new designs feature sequins, metallic embroidery, satin feel fabrics and diamante embellishments.
She said: "My aim with all of my product design is to celebrate female empowerment and to help everyone feel inwardly fabulous."
The range is available to buy exclusively at Next and www.appletreeliving.co.uk from February 7, and from other major retailers from 1 March.
