Gemma Atkinson explains blood on her ear after incident during outing ‘Not Nice!’
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Gemma Atkinson, 35, filmed herself enjoying a beverage in the garden today as she listened to birds in her trees. As she turned her face to the side, dried up blood could be seen in her ear.
She explained to her Instagram fans: “That blood in my ear… yesterday I was out walking and the wasps came so I went like that [waving her hand] to get it away from me… caught my bracelet and I ripped out my earring. Not nice.”
Gemma captioned her post: “Whole earring ripped out,” followed by a GIF which read: “Pain.”
Moving on from the incident, the radio host went on to give fans an insight into her afternoon antics.
She filmed herself working up a sweat using her gym equipment at home, from a skipping rope to weights.
The former Emmerdale star could be seen lifting 75kg of weights, but admitted it was a struggle to continue.
She wrote alongside the video: “Wasn’t the plan to attempt this today but after my little workout I was warm so I thought why not?
“Added more weight than last time so today was 75kg.
“I was desperate for that 2nd rep so a tad annoyed but I got there in the end! And hey, 2 reps with a break is better than 1 rep right? #keeptrying.”
Many of her 1.4 million followers flocked to her post to comment, with one writing: “Baby steps! You know yourself, you will get there and beyond.”
“Wow that’s impressive as Mia is not even 1,” a second wrote.
A third penned: “Two better than I ever could. Amazing and you should be proud of yourself.”
Following her workout, the mother-of-one came across some cookies baked by her partner Gorka.
Admiring her beau’s creation, she turned to him and said: “You’re a keeper!”
The duo, who met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, are currently in lockdown in Manchester with their baby daughter Mia.
Gemma has continued to keep her fitness up during pandemic with her boyfriend, with regular walks and exercise.
