Love Island: What are the old islanders like Rykard Jenkins and Jess Hayes up to now?
The first series of Love Island aired in June 2015 and saw 23 islanders go into the famous Majorcan villa looking for love.
Since then we have enjoyed six seasons, and a winter edition, with the most recent being won by Paige Turley and Finley Tapp.
Here’s a look at what the contestants from the past five series have been up to since they left the sun and got back to reality.
Jess Hayes won Love Island in 2015 with Max Morley, but they split up a short time after leaving the show. She is now a beauty and fashion influencer and has recently had a baby with fiancé Dan Lawry.
Love Island 2015 saw Jon Clark coupled up with Hannah Elizabeth – even getting engaged on the show. They split up shortly after the series ended, with Jon going on to appear on TOWIE with his brother Chris.
Cally Jane Beech coupled up with Luis Morrison in 2015 and they became the first Love Island couple to have a baby together. Their daughter Vienna was born in May 2017 but unfortunately her and Luis split up. but remain co-parents to their child.
Rykard Jenkins appeared in the 2016 series of Love Island and coupled up with Rachel Fenton. Who can forget him running down the beach after Rachel got dumped and leaving with her?
Sadly they are no longer together and he continues to be a model and social media influencer.
Love islander Amber Davies won series three with Kem Cetinay. They split in December 2017 and Amber went on to perform in the hit West End musical 9 to 5: The musical.
In 2016, series two of Love Island, Scott Thomas made it to the final with Kady McDermott. They stayed together until December 2017 after which he took a break from TV. In 2019 Scott appeared on Celebrity Coach Trip and he is still director of PR agency The Social PR.
Chris Huges finished in third place in the 2017 Love Island with Olivia Attwood but called it quits after the show. Since then he has appeared on several TV shows including ‘You vs Chris & Kem’ and ‘Celebrity Hunted’. He is now dating Jesy Nelson from Little Mix.
Tyla Carr entered the Love Island villa quite late in 2017 with her sights set on Jonny Mitchell. She left a week before the final with Mike Thalissitis. Tyla now has a baby boy called Archie.
The Calvin Klein model, Jamie Jewitt, swept Camilla Thurlow off her feet in 2017. The good news is he is still with Camilla and continues to be an influencer and model on social media.
Dr Alex George didn’t have much luck in the 2018 Love Island villa but after leaving the show he continued with his doctor duties with a stint on Good Morning Britain.
Zara Mc Dermott coupled up with Adam Collard in series four but the relationship didn’t survive. She appeared on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019 as part of the group called No Love Lost. Along with Wes Nelson, Samira Mighty and Eyal Booker they made it to week three. Zara is currently dating Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson.
Claiming to be loyal was Georgia Steel in 2018 who left the show coupled up with Sam Bird. The pair later split, with Sam accusing her of cheating on him. Georgia has continued her TV career, appearing on Celebs Go Dating and Ex on the Beach.
Amber Gill may have been dumped via text by Greg O’Shea but she had the last laugh after signing a deal with fashion label MissPap worth £1 million. The 21-year-old won the 2019 series and has been laughing all the way to the bank ever since.
Yewande Biala appeared on Love Island in 2019 and had a tough time with Danny Williams, who dumped her for model Arabella Chi. Since leaving the show she has launched an edit with In The Style and has been giving lots of style inspo on her Instagram.
