Mama June faces family trauma after cocaine arrest in drama-filled trailer

Big changes are ahead for The Shannons

June Shannon — aka Mama June — may be returning to the small screen next month, but her WEtv’s reality drama “Mama June: From Hot to Not” is being rebranded as “Mama June: Family Crisis.”

The change stems from June, 40, and boyfriend Geno Doak’s arrests for crack cocaine possession last year.

A trailer for the new season finds the June and Shannon clan struggling to deal with the arrests fall-out.

Shannon’s daughter, Alana Thompson — aka Honey Boo Boo — can be heard in the trailer’s voice-over remarking, “I don’t even know who she is anymore.”

“Family Crisis” also follows Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon as she takes custody of her younger sister Alana, 14, following June’s arrest.

Adding to the season’s drama, a video posted by Thompson to her Instagram account in August captured the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star pretending to snort a line of cocaine. That prompted her father, Sugar Bear, to demand full custody of the teenage reality star — a storyline certain to play out over the course of the season.

“I just don’t think mama understands that everything she does affects all of us, too,” Lauryn says in the emotional teaser, while June, appearing at the end, exclaims, “Nobody knows what the real story is.”

“Mama June: Family Crisis” returns March 27th on WEtv.
