Meghan Markle, 41, and Prince Harry, 37, stepped down from the Royal Family in 2020 and have since moved to the United States. At the time, the couple, along with their then-one-year-old son, Archie, spent a few months living in Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills mansion before purchasing their own.

Now, in a new interview, the actor, producer and writer has opened up about his decision to help the couple, admitting they were going through a “difficult time”.

The 53-year-old gushed over the couple as the producer shared he is “moved” by their supportive relationship and would love to have a romance like theirs.

Speaking on the US show, Today with Hoda & Jenna, Tyler spoke openly about the royal duo as he shared a candid insight into his thoughtful deed.

The filmmaker added that he was inspired by Harry and Meghan’s love, as he commented: “What I know about the two of them – and I wish the world knew – how much these two people love each other.

“They found each other, out of all these odds against them finding each other, they found each other.

“The love they have is really, really moving and I wanted to do anything I could to support them.”

He added of Meghan and Harry’s relationship: “If I don’t have that, what she and Harry have, I don’t want it. That’s really amazing.”

During the Duchess of Sussex’s recent interview with The Cut, she opened up about her bond with Tyler, explaining he first reached out when she married Harry in 2019.

According to Meghan, Tyler also told her that if ever needed advice, she could reach out to him – so she did.

“Sometimes, you can tell your life story to a stranger on a plane as opposed to some of the people that are closest to you,” she told The Cut.

Last month, Tyler also penned a special birthday message to Meghan as she marked her 41st birthday.

Taking to Instagram, the Madea star shared a touching tribute on the picture-sharing site.
