BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty was comforted by a fan on Twitter after she received “unkind” comments. The broadcaster was moved by the act as she responded in view of her 255,000 followers.

Naga reached out to a follower after they shared a sweet message with her yesterday.

The BBC Breakfast presenter is known for fronting the morning news show, as well as her own radio show.

However, she’s also no stranger to criticism from viewers, which she often calls out online.

Therefore, it seemed like the presenter was especially touched when a fan reached out to support her.

Sharing a picture of their young granddaughter, they wrote a moving message to Naga.

They penned: “@TVNaga01 my little granddaughter watching @BBCBreakfast with me this morning just said ‘I love that lady, she always wears really nice clothes & looks so lovely.’

“I told her Naga needs to hear this as people are sometimes unkind to her!

“Wise 7yr old Darcie says ‘be kind’ folks.”

Naga then replied to the viewer, writing: “Ah thanks Darcie! X.”

The BBC presenter was criticised this morning already for her explaining details about the weather to viewers.

One viewer penned: “Naga Munchetty really is condescending, isn’t she, @BBCBreakfast?

“Thinking viewers are too thick to understand a very clear description of the difference between a rainbow and a ‘fogbow’ she decided we needed a second explanation from the clear and capable weather presenter.”

Naga often calls out trolls on her Twitter page, including one viewer who called her “dreadful” earlier this week.

In a now-deleted tweet, they wrote: “Lovely to watch breakfast TV this morning without the dreadful Naga …”

However, Naga then hit back with a sarcastic reply to the follower.

She penned: “Thanks for letting me know Guy. X”

Earlier this month, she also humorously replied to another troll on the platform.

They had penned: “Quite frankly, I’d rather someone take a cheese grater to my b**end than go near that poisonous person.”

Naga then shared their tweet before replying to her.

The presenter wrote: “Happy to help Shirley” along with a kiss.
