Strictly’s Oti Mabuse ‘asks for older partner’ after Kelvin Fletcher drama as her husband is set to join BBC show
Strictly Come Dancing's 2019 winner Oti Mabuse is rumoured to have asked for an "older partner" for the next series to "avoid" affair rumours.
The ballroom champion, who scooped the Glitterball Trophy with Kelvin Fletcher, was embroiled in scandal when the good friends were accused of a secret romance.
Both denied any allegations of any affair and since then it's believed Oti has made the request to BBC bosses for the 2020 series, which will also see her husband join the cast as a troupe dancer.
The professional dancer, 29, is married to dancer Marius Lepure, 37, and it's thought that he will join this year's professional line-up for the group dances according to the Sun on Sunday, however the BBC have denied to comment on either reports.
Following her win with Kelvin, 36, the pair partied the night away at the Strictly wrap party with the rest of the contestants, and weeks later when the Strictly tour ended, the pals were out until the early hours of the morning with the rest of the crew.

Strictly Come Dancing winner Kelvin Fletcher hit with claims he shared ‘graphic’ messages with a woman
Rumours began to swirl after they were pictured at 3.30am arriving at a hotel and the pair were forced to insist nothing happened.
But since then it has been claimed that Oti wants to distance herself from any kind of scandal going forwards as her career takes off and not to be associated with the infamous Strictly 'curse'.
An insider claimed to the Sun: "Oti asked that she be paired with someone older in the next series to stop any speculation about the nature of their relationship."
Oti has achieved great success since joining the BBC dancing competition reaching the final with actor Danny Mac in 2016, dancing with Paralympian Jonnie Peacock, as well as boxer Anthony Ogogo and cricketer Graeme Swann.
She's also starred as a captain on BBC's The Greatest Dancer alongside Cheryl, Matthew Morrison and Todrick Hall for two series and has signed up as a co-host on this year's Sport Relief, as well as taking part in Celebrity Masterchef.
Strictly Come Dancing stars: Past and Present
Oti and Marius, who have been married six years, teased a big surprise on her Instagram earlier this week, revealing news of a joint dance event.
The couple, who once joked about the Strictly curse with Jimmy Carr on TV programme Your Face Or Mine, will be performing and teaching all around the UK later this year.
During an appearance on the comedy show, Jimmy had asked Marius about appearing on Strictly: "Would you go on Strictly? Would you like to be one of the professional dancers on Strictly? Or do you think it would be awkward being in the same room as the man who's having an affair with your wife?"
Oti had laughed and said: "No, my husband, he shows each and every single partner I have a warning. So they kind of stay away…"
