Wayne Rooney’s son following in his dad’s footsteps as he shows off impressive football skills
Proud dad Wayne Rooney has showed off his eldest son's impressive football skills.
The 34 year old, whose wife Coleen recently broke her silence on her row with Rebekah Vardy, took to Instagram to share a clip of Kai working to develop his footwork with a private coach.
The 10 year old oozed confidence as he scored goals, jumped through a hopscotch ladder, tackled a shield and took direction from his football trainer, Tom Owens.
He kept his eyes on the prize as he concentrated on each task, wearing custom-made blue boots with his name and a small England flag stitched on it.

Kai wore a pair of knee-high Umbro socks as he sported Nike white shorts and a long-sleeved black top and matching gloves of the same branding.
The young Rooney proved he's following in his dad's footsteps and may even be good enough to rival his old man in the future.
Wayne thanked his son's mentor as he captioned the impressive video: "Thanks for Kai’s sessions @tomowensuk. Quality," followed by a football emoji.
Fans of the football legend immediately flocked to the comment section to praise Wayne's son as one person wrote: "Glad to see Kai's enthusiasm for football future star". [sic]
Another said: "Strikes the ball just like his old man! This is quality". [sic]
A third chimed: "The kid is looking great. Hope he does well." while a fourth added: "Wooooha almost as good as papa". [sic]
Wayne is dad to four sons Kai, Klay, six, Kit, four, and two year old Cass. But if recent reports are true, he might be expanding his brood soon as his wife Coleen allegedly wants to have another child.
The WAG, who recently banned her husband from drinking, has a very close relationship with her mum, Colette McLoughlin, and a source said she'd love to have the same kind of bond with her own daughter some day.
An insider close to the couple explained the pair have been through rough times in the past and think a new addition to the family will ultimately strengthen their relationship.

They said: "Coleen and Wayne have really been through the mill – at one point, they were close to divorce because of Wayne's behaviour.
"But they've worked on their marriage and, while things still aren't perfect, they think having another baby will bring them closer together. And after having four sons, they would love a daughter."
