Willie Nelson Announces 70th Album ‘First Rose Of Spring,’ Shares Title Track
Country legend Willie Nelson will release his 70th studio album, titled First Rose of Spring, on April 24.
Nelson has shared the title track of the album, a mournful ballad written by Randy Houser, Allen Shamblin, and Mark Beeson.
The 11-track album features two new songs written by Nelson with producer Buddy Cannon, called “Blue Star” and “Love Just Laughed.”
The record will also include Nelson’s covers of Toby Keith‘s “Don’t Let the Old Man In,” Chris Stapleton‘s “Our Song,” and his friend Billy Joe Shaver‘s “We Are the Cowboy.”
Nelson is set to hit the road with Stapleton for the latter’s All-American Road Show in Arlington, Texas, on March 14.
Nelson will also return as the perennial headliner of his day-long music festival Luck Reunion on March 19.
