Caroline Flack assault case closed 10-days after Love Island star’s death
Love Island host Caroline Flack was found dead earlier this month on February 15, a few weeks before she would go to trial for an alleged assault on her boyfriend Lewis Burton, 27.
Now, the Crown Prosecution Service have confirmed that the 40-year-old's assault case was officially closed on February 25, 10 days after the Love Island star tragically took her own life.
It is reported that Caroline was worried about the upcoming March court date before she took her own life, after she was arrested in December 2019.
A spokesperson or the CPS confirmed to the Sun: "Court proceedings against Caroline Flack came to an official end on February 25."

"Despite media coverage of Caroline's death and public comments made by her family about her death we needed to make this a formality to close the case.
"It is a formality that had to be done and now has been."
Francis Ridley, from Caroline's management team, hit out at the CPS following the telly regular's death.
The statement read: "In recent months Caroline had been under huge pressure because of an ongoing case and potential trial which has been well reported.
"The Crown Prosecution Service pursued this when they knew not only how very vulnerable Caroline was but also that the alleged victim did not support the prosecution and had disputed the CPS version of events.
