Experts explain why its cheaper to switch your heating on only when you need it
Recently, the energy price cap – which sets a limit on the rates you pay for gas and electricity – has shot up.
This means a rise in energy bills for 15 million UK households.
The cost of energy bills has gone up due to rising price of wholesale gas, with Ofgem raising price cap for standard and default tariffs from £1,138 to £1,277 and for prepayment customers rose from £1,156 to £1,309.
