FORMULA E team bosses are ready to react if there are further race cancellations due to the coronavirus.
The all-electric series has already had to pull the plug on the Sanya ePrix in China since the outbreak.
But teams are braced for further changes to the calendar which currently includes races in Italy and South Korea.
Christian Silk, team principle of Chinese outfit NIO, said: “Formula E is obviously very concentrated on it, as it is a worldwide event.
“Everyone has to take it very seriously.
“As a very proud Chinese team we are very connected with what is going on.
“We have been following what has been happening to our fellow team members in China, and that is very important to us.
“We are making plans, we are making alternatives as you do in these situations.
“But we’re having to think on our feet, make plans and then choose which plan we go with.
“It is a difficult situation for us to deal with for sure.”
Techeetah team principal Mark Preston added: “We are going to have to react to it as it happens, as it changes everyday.
“I suppose in racing we are pretty used to having to make changes at the last minute so hopefully we can respond.”
The next race on the calendar was meant to be Sanya but now there is a gap in the calendar ahead of the Rome ePrix which is still set to go ahead.
