The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were famously married in April, 2011. The couple are extremely popular with the public and seem to have the perfect relationship. But what are they really like behind closed doors?Express.co.ukchecked their birth charts to find out the true dynamics of their relationship, according to astrology. We chatted to astrologer Francesca Oddie (@francescaoddieastrology) to find out about Kate Middleton and Prince William’s compatibility.
Are Prince William and Kate a perfect match?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are extremely compatible, and their natal charts show this clearly.
Prince William is a Cancer at 0 degrees like his grandmother the Queen, who is 0 degrees Taurus, making him a pure and undiluted Cancerian at the core.
Kate is the sensible and traditional Capricorn woman that fits perfectly into the royal family, and this is perfect for William because Cancerians are all about family and home.

The most exciting thing about this pairing is the fact that they share the same Moon sign.
William has a Sun and a Moon in Cancer, and Kate is also a lunar Cancerian.
Francesca said: “While William is very homely and gentle as a Cancerian, his Rising Sagittarius means he likes travelling and going abroad.
“Kate doesn’t have that international and adventurous vibe, but they both have the Moon in Cancer.
“There is nothing more lovely in relationship astrology than having the same Moon sign because it means your sense of home is the same thing.
“The Queen and Philip also have the same Moon sign.”
The placement of Saturn in comparison to their Cancer Moons is also mirrored.
Francesca explained: “She said: “Both Prince William and Kate have challenging aspects of Saturn to that Moon, because their Saturns are at Libra square to that Moon.
“They are both lonely and isolated people innately but they keep each other company because they get each other.”
Francesca described the couple as “lone wolves who were destined to find each other.”

Both William and Kate were born to be in the public eye, Francesca thinks.
She said: “They were both born on eclipses, with Kate born two hours before a Lunar Eclipse and Prince William born eight hours after a solar eclipse.
“This means they were both born to be in the limelight, there’s a sense of destiny and fate.
“Kate’s lunar eclipse Moon falls in Prince William’s relationship sector in his seventh house, and they have exactly the same Mars in Libra.”
Considering that there are only two lunar eclipses a year at most, and two to five solar eclipses, it is strange that so many famous people and royals were born at the same time.
Meghan Markle was born around an eclipse and Prince Charles’ marriages were on total eclipses, for example.
Venus placements show what or who you love, and weirdly William and Kate’s Venus’ aren’t fully compatible.
Francesca commented: “Their Venus’ aren’t fully compatible with her Venus in Aquarius retrograde and his in Taurus.
“However, his Venus connects with her Moon which is nice and her Venus connects with his Mars, but they have different values.”
This signifies that the pair are loyal to each other, but they have differences in what they are concerned with.
Francesca noted that Prince William’s Venus is closely conjunct Chiron, the Wounded Healer.
Normally when someone has Venus conjunct Chiron, they tend to have low self esteem and give themselves a hard time.
Francesca said: “His Venus Chiron suggests that he has had a wound repeated.
“His feminine archetype, ideas of romance, love, and mothering have all taken a hit.”
Kate’s Aquarian Venus makes her quite independent and someone who needs space in a relationship.
This could be a problem sometimes, and Francesca suggested that “maybe she can’t quite control herself or doesn’t know her own values or how to exert her love of freedom.”
Ultimately, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a near-perfect relationship.
Their matching Moon signs, Saturn placements, and the fact they were both born on eclipses suggests this relationship was written in the stars.
