UFOs are taking an unusual interest in God’s Own Country.
More than 200 close encounters have been reported in Yorkshire over the past two decades.
The latest came just three weeks ago, when a jet passenger filmed a long cigar-shaped object, inset, flying close to their aircraft as it cruised over the county.
One UFO watcher, who would only be identified as Dave, told the Daily Star Sunday: "Yorkshire acts like a magnet for UFOs.
"Anyone who doesn’t believe they exist should spend a few days here watching the skies."
He reckons the visits are linked to two secret listening stations at RAF Menwith Hill near Harrogate, and RAF Fylingdales close to Whitby.
"Dave" added: "A lot of the UFO experts in this area believe it has something to do with the bases.
"They are meant to be early warning and listening stations but something else must be going on, otherwise how can you explain all of the UFO activity?"
Todmorden in West Yorkshire was the scene of one of the most famous UK close encounters ever in 1980 when police officer Alan Godfrey reported seeing a UFO.

Other sky-watchers have reported flashing lights, fireballs, and even strange seahorse-shaped objects in the Yorkshire skies.
Until 2009, the Ministry of Defence noted all sightings.
When the Government stopped recording them many UFO watchers were convinced the MoD was trying to cover up the fact Yorkshire was an alien hot spot.
In 2009 alone there were 38 separate sightings. In one case in Bradford on February 20, a witness reported "two strange lights" behind the clouds.
They "appeared to be playing with each other and pretending to crash into each other" while a third light hovered below.
On April 26 in Huddersfield, a witness gave a detailed account after they spotted a mysterious object.
The report stated: "A black spherical object 12m in diameter. It was 500ft up and travelling at 500mph.
"It made no sound. It had a light on but switched it off when the witness shone a torch at it."
In June, an air traffic controller was working in North Yorkshire when he saw bright orange lights.
He said one of them was "followed by a group of three and then another single light".
On September 2, a witness in Filey saw a "brilliant and dazzling pure white horizontal ring of light" and said it "appeared to be perfectly still in the sky above the houses and was totally silent".
