Phillip Schofield still gets texts from cop after brothers child sex case
Phillip Schofield says he "still gets texts" from the investigating detective involved in his brother's child sex offence charges.
The former This Morning presenter's brother Timothy Schofield was sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of 11 sexual offences involving a child, including two of sexual activity with a child.
He must also sign the sex offender register for the rest of his life, and is banned from working with children and vulnerable adults.

Speaking to The Sun, Phillip has said that he's still in touch with the worker involved in the case and that his mum Pat, 87, has been left heartbroken following the verdict.
He told the police about his brother after learning of his crimes and says the pair have not spoken since the night of his arrest.
Phillip told the publication: "I was interviewed, I gave a full statement to the police, who we’ve worked with incredibly closely throughout.
"I still get texts from the investigating detective because we were so pleased with the result.
"We did everything we could at the right time."
Phillip's brother was sentenced on Friday, May 19, after he was convicted in April.
Prior to the news breaking of his offences, Timothy was a civilian police worker from Bath, Somerset.
After he was arrested and charged, he was suspended without notice from his job at the force’s headquarters in Portishead.
While giving evidence, he told the jury that he had watched pornography with the victim, who he claimed was over the age of 16 at the time.
He also claimed that they masturbated next to each other but denied ever performing sexual acts on the teen.
The jury found him guilty on all counts with a majority vote of 10-2, taking five-and-a-half hours to deliberate.
In a statement after the verdict, Phillip said: "As far as I am concerned, I no longer have a brother."
The presenter also added his brother had committed a "despicable" crime.
