Police helicopters camera films 106mph UFO over UK invisible to the naked eye

Incredible footage has shown a disc-shaped UFO soaring past a police helicopter over the UK.

Snippets of the video were first shared online by the National Police Air Service (NPAS) back in 2016 but the full footage has now been released thanks to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request.

The FLIR footage bears a remarkable similarity to sightings released by the US Navy and being investigated by the Pentagon.

It shows a black circular object seemingly hovering in the sky at night near St Athan, Wales, on September 17, 2016.

It appears to have a centre to it, with a black ring surrounding the so-called craft.

At the time, NPAS South West said it was not detected by local air traffic control and was unlikely to be a balloon or lantern as it was “hot” as it travelled against the wind.

The object was flying at around 1,000ft and was picked up by cops as they were testing a thermal camera.

In an update in 2019, police said it could have been a drone, but pilots were “unable to keep up with so it would have to have been very fast”.

Pentagon UFO report

  • Fears of 'hypersonic weapon Cold War'
  • 'Far more' UFO sightings to come
  • Top-secret military tech to be 'hidden'
  • Space experts say aliens 'exist'
  • Former police officer turned UFO investigator Gary Heseltine received the full video following an FOI request.

"This is verified police helicopter FLIR footage showing an object not seen with the naked eye but clearly seen in the infrared spectrum," he told The Sun Online.

“It is moving against the wind, so it is not a balloon, nor is emitting any heat signature indicating a propulsion system.

"My FOI requests were largely stonewalled by the police authorities, and I believe there is much more information on this event that has yet to be released."

Mr Heseltine also passed the video to former cop and helicopter crew member Simon Conquest to get expert analysis.

He suggested the object was travelling at around 106mph and ruled out conventional explanations such as a lantern, a bird, a meteor or a known aircraft.

The release comes as the UFO community waits with baited breath for the release of the Pentagon’s report on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP).

Several videos taken by US Navy personnel have already been leaked by investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell ahead of the release – and have been deemed authentic by officials.

One showed pyramid-shaped craft swarming a vessel in July 2019 while another seemed to show a craft submerging into the water.
