On TikTok, the hashtag ‘French onion chicken’ has been searched more than 348,000 times by users.
To make the dish, first chop the chicken into small pieces and place in an oven-proof tray.
Combine the cream and French onion together in a bowl then pour over the chicken.
Next, add the bacon and place the tray into a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
Dee said the dish should take no longer than 40 minutes to bake if the chicken is cut into small pieces.
Once cooked the end result will look golden brown with a bubbling outer layer.
‘Wow looks amazing! Thanks for sharing! Do you think this would work with evaporated milk?’ one woman asked online, to which Dee replied: ‘Oh no clue unfortunately, I’m not a chef at the best of times.’
The easy dish would be perfect for those who are time poor or can’t be bothered cooking after a long day.
‘Been doing this for years…so delicious,’ another person wrote.
