Woman mortified after accidentally donating bag with kinky sex toys to charity

A woman "curled up into a ball with her hands for about 40 minutes" after realising she gave the wrong bag to charity.

The mum explained how she and her husband had been clearing out their home and bagged up a lot of possessions to take away.

They went through baby clothes, toys, wardrobes and kitchen drawers in a bid to declutter their home.

After all of those things were cleared out, the woman turned her attention to her "private quarters".

She looked through her bedside drawer which contained sex toys and other important items, including some sentimental jewellery.

Then when she put all the contents of the drawer into a bag to put away again, that's when things took an unexpected turn.

It was only after she dropped off the pile of bags to "two very nice old dears" at a nearby charity shop when she realised her mistake.

Writing on Reddit, in a now deleted post, the woman said: "The f***ing penny dropped so hard.

"I have never felt the sensation of physically cringing in shame like this before – after I was able to stop saying 'oh my God' and explain to my husband what I'd done, I crawled up into a ball with my hands over my ears for about 40 minutes trying to process it."

She said although she would have never returned for the possessions, the bag did contain a necklace which a "very dear and departed friend" had given her.

Returning to the shop the following day, the anonymous woman asked if she could take a look in the back to find a bag she had donated by mistake.

The member of staff then asked what the bag contained to enable her to identify it, and after an awkward conversation, the pair came to an understanding as to what she had handed over by mistake.

After the worker asked her whether the item had batteries and if it was a sex toy, the woman whispered: "Yes."

Fortunately, the woman was allowed into the back and saw many of the items she had donated, but not the one containing her "personal items" or the necklace.

Eventually, the mum gave up on the search and told the worker: "I'm so sorry about all this…

"I'm absolutely mortified… Thanks though, have a nice weekend."

And the worker concluded the topic by adding: "Honestly, hand on heart. I will if I find your sex toys."

The post secured 1,150 upvotes and almost 100 comments from users who found it hilarious.

One said: "I'm dead!"

Another added: "That last line was savage!

"Oh my God, I haven't laughed so hard at an online comment in a long time."
