Jennifer Aniston Once Said Brad Pitt Is Missing a 'Sensitivity Chip' After He Embarrassed Her

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are good friends these days and have spent a lot of time together in the past year. Still, they didn’t get to that happy place easily. Their history is fraught with romance, hurt feelings, betrayal, and, ultimately, redemption.

Pitt and Aniston were married in the late nineties and although fans around the world loved them together. Pitt would ultimately embark on an alleged affair that would end their marriage and cause them to keep their distance from each other for more than 10 years. His behavior in the days following the split with Aniston would prompt the actress to slam him in an interview that still makes the rounds, even today.

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were Hollywood’s ‘golden couple’

Pitt and Aniston were just embarking on their careers in the early nineties when they first met. After meeting in 1994, they went their separate ways before reconnecting four years later. This time, they decided to give love a chance and started dating. Only a few months into their relationship, Pitt and Aniston were gracing red carpets all over the world.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the attractive pair, and when they got engaged in November 1999, it became world news. Their Malibu wedding in the summer of 2000 was a super-private affair, but that didn’t dim the public’s love for the “golden couple.”

Over the next five years, Pitt and Aniston remained the darlings of Hollywood, as their stars continued to rise. However, in early 2004, Pitt would get cast in a movie that would change the course of both of their lives.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s devastating affair

Mr. and Mrs. Smith featured Pitt and Angelina Jolie, playing a married couple who find themselves at odds, tussling with their secretive occupations and their undeniable attraction for each other. At the time, Jolie was one of the hottest stars in Hollywood, well-known for her talent and humanitarian work..

Not long after Pitt and Jolie started filming their movie, the affair rumors started. While Pitt was quick to deny the rumors, fans weren’t so sure.

They were even more convinced that something was going on between Pitt and Jolie when the two posed for a steamy magazine photoshoot in which they portrayed a happily married couple, complete with children. Not only did the photoshoot outrage the public, but it also offended Jennifer Aniston.

Jennifer Aniston revealed how Brad Pitt hurt her

In January 2005, Aniston filed for divorce from Pitt. While their separation announcement made no mention of an affair, the public was convinced that their marriage was ending because of Jolie.

Aniston added fuel to the fire with a 2005 interview, where she referenced Pitt and Jolie’s magazine shoot. “There’s a sensitivity chip that’s missing,” Aniston stated, speaking of Pitt. “Is it odd timing. Yeah, but it’s not my life. He makes his choices. He can do — whatever. We’re divorced and you can see why.” When asked directly about the affair rumors, she stated that “I just don’t know what happened. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised by anything, but I would much rather choose to believe him.”

Of course, Pitt and Jolie went public with their romance not long after the divorce filing and went on to build a family together, getting married in 2014. They ended up divorcing in 2016 and underwent a bitter custody battle.

It could have been his divorce from Jolie that helped Pitt to really understand the emotional trauma that he caused Aniston, and the two ended up reconciling. The bitter memories will undoubtedly always be there, but at least the former couple has been able to overcome their past issues and reach a place of understanding.

Eddie Van Halen Once Held Gun to Fred Durst's Head, Author Claims

“I put my gun to that stupid f–king red hat of his, and I said, ‘Where’s my s–t, motherf–ker?'”

A jam session took a horrible turn when Eddie Van Halen allegedly put a gun to Fred Durst’s head, according to a video director.

In the book "Eruption in the Canyon: 212 Days & Nights With the Genius of Eddie Van Halen," author Andrew Bennett details the time he spent filming the band Van Halen at work in their studio between 2004 and 2007, including an anecdote of Van Halen and Durst attempting to collaborate, according to Ultimate Rock Classics.

The incident, as told to Bennett by Van Halen, took place after Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland left the band around 2001 and a record executive suggested Van Halen and Durst work together.

Bennett claims Durst responded, "That would be hilarious. The greatest guitar player ever plays with the worst band ever," as Van Halen chimed in, "F–k it, let’s jam."

The odd couple ended up practicing together, but it was short lived as Van Halen took off when people started smoking marijuana, leaving his guitar equipment behind, and describing it as "like being a scholar amongst kindergartners."

After Durst wouldn’t answer Van Halen’s calls to swing by to pick up his goods, the famous guitarist allegedly hopped in an assault vehicle purchased from a military auction and drove on over to the "Nookie" singer’s house.

"Eddie drove that assault vehicle through L.A., into Beverly Hills, then parked and left it running on the front lawn of the house Limp Bizkit was rehearsing in," wrote Bennett.

"He got out wearing no shirt, his hair in a Samurai bun on top of his head, his jeans held up with a strand of rope and combat boots held together by duct tape. And he had a gun in his hand."

"That asshole answered the door," Van Halen told Bennett, according to the book. "I put my gun to that stupid f–king red hat of his, and I said, ‘Where’s my s–t, motherf–ker?’ That f–king guy just turned to one of his employees and starts yelling at him to grab my s–t."

Bennett claimed Van Halen stood on the lawn, smoking a cigarette with the gun pointed at Durst as his equipment was loaded into the vehicle.

It’s worth noting, the band Van Halen was unhappy with the results of Bennett’s filming at the time and ended up in court to stop him from releasing a documentary in 2018, according to TMZ.

TooFab has reached out for comment from both Eddie Van Halen and Fred Durst.

Heath Ledger Once Stopped the Oscars from Poking Fun at 'Brokeback Mountain'

In the pantheon of great Oscar missteps, few are as egregious as the 2006 Academy Awards. That evening, Crash won Best Picture and went on to be one of the most divisive picks in Oscar history. The film many agree should have walked away with the night’s top prize? Brokeback Mountain.

Ang Lee’s romantic drama centers on a love story behind cowboys Ennis (Heath Ledger) and Jack (Jake Gyllenhaal). Brokeback Mountain did win three Oscars, including Best Director for Lee. But the academy was still apparently willing to take some cheap shots at the movie, a plan Ledger put a stop to.

‘Brokeback Mountain’ was a game-changer for Hollywood in 2005

Nowadays, the LGBT community has taken huge strides. Same-sex marriage is widely recognized, and LGBT characters and storylines are slowly permeating the mainstream. But in 2005, Brokeback Mountain was a bold effort at telling a forbidden love story between two men, especially within a traditionally hyper-masculine genre like the Western.

In many ways, Lee’s film proved Hollywood could tackle these subjects in an earnest, heartfelt way. More than just a hit with critics, Brokeback Mountain earned a worldwide total of $178 million. Remarkably, the $14 million production earned roughly half of that from its domestic release.

Brokeback Mountain also elevated the careers of Ledger, Gyllenhaal, and Michelle Williams. All three stars were already firmly on the rise to A-list status, but their Oscar-nominated turns in Lee’s film legitimized them as dramatic leads. Ledger, of course, went on to win a posthumous Oscar for The Dark Knight, while his co-stars have gone on to acclaimed careers.

Jake Gyllenhaal reflects on making the ‘mystery’ of making the movie

Apparently, making the movie turned out to be as impactful as watching it was for Oscar voters in 2005. In a recent interview with Another Man magazine, Gyllenhaal said he still hasn’t been able to go back and watch it. Despite the fond memories behind the scenes, Brokeback Mountain feels like a singular experience for the actor.

“There are things you’re chosen for — a quality, an essence — and Ang did that,” Gyllenhaal told Another Man. “And it’s still a mystery to me. And something that Heath and I shared: that it was a mystery to us at the time.”

For both Ledger and Gyllenhaal, Brokeback Mountain proved to be a creative challenge. Yet, the actors committed wholeheartedly to the work, and the finished product speaks for itself. But back in 2005, the movie was limited by the less evolved mindset toward stories about the LGBT community.

The actor also revealed how Heath Ledger once defended the film

In some circles, Brokeback Mountain became reductively known as “the gay cowboy movie.” But those involved knew they were working on something special, a powerful story that transcended this glib description of its central romance. In fact, in the midst of awards season, Ledger was forced to step up and defend the film.

“I mean, I remember they wanted to do an opening for the Academy Awards that year that was sort of joking about [the movie],” Gyllenhaal told Another Man. “And Heath refused. I was sort of at the time, ‘Oh, okay… whatever.’ I’m always like; it’s all in good fun. And Heath said, ‘It’s not a joke to me — I don’t want to make any jokes about it.’”

Looking back, Gyllenhaal recognizes just how right Ledger was in taking such a stance. In the years since Brokeback Mountain hit theaters, culture has certainly started to catch up to such sensitivities, particularly regarding the LGBT community. So fans of Brokeback Mountain and Ledger’s work no doubt will be happy to hear the late actor took so much pride in the film.

Shaquille O’Neal Once Endorsed Joe Exotic For President

It’s no secret that Shaquille O’Neal loves tigers. He loves tigers so much, in fact, that he used to just rip facts off while being interviewed. “Tigers are not in Africa,” he told the Los Angeles Times in a 2001 feature. “Tigers are in Siberia and India.” So it should come as no surprise, then, that the NBA legend and Inside The NBA star has known Tiger King Joe Exotic for quite some time—he appears in the first episode of the new Netflix series, and even endorsed him for president back in 2016.

“This is Senator Shaquille O’Neal, and I endorse Joe Exotic for President,” O’Neal told KXII news in Oklahoma back in 2016. Now, that was probably a little tongue-in-cheek. But while how well the pair knew each other, and how close they were, might be up for debate, it’s certainly clear that this bizarre duo has some sort of history.

What is the relationship between Joe Exotic and Shaquille O’Neal?

In that same KXII News interview, Exotic (then credited as Joseph Maldonado) said that O’Neal basically would visit the zoo for a few hours at a time every time he was in the Oklahoma area—presumably, any time he was in town to play against the Oklahoma City Thunder as a player, or broadcast a game for TNT.

Subscribe to Men’s Health

At some point about eight years prior, Exotic claims he had met the 7’1” center—and didn’t know who he was. “One day he just showed up at the zoo, and I actually didn’t know who the man was,” Exotic said. “Everybody was like, ‘that’s Shaq!’ And I’m like ‘who’s Shaq?'”

Exotic told the exact same story to FOX 25 in Oklahoma. “I’m not a big sports or TV guy, so I didn’t even know who he was when he walked in,” Exotic said. “We became friends, he’s an awesome guy —gigantic! He makes me look like a little kid.”

And while Exotic is far from a reliable source, it does seem like O’Neal visited the zoo a decent bit. He even appears in a post on the @GWZoo Instagram:

He also appeared in a May 2014 episode of the Joe Exotic TV online show—alongside Joe, John, and Travis—as featured in the Tiger King series. The clip is only about a minute long, but features a couple classic moments. At one point, O’Neal is petting a white tiger cub. “This is Shaq, here with my main man Joe, and Joe just gave me this tiger for a present.”

Did Shaq really buy two tigers?

About a half hour into the first episode of Tiger King, a clip from Inside the NBA from a broadcast of a playoff game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors shows O’Neal saying he “got two more tigers,” but it turns out that was just him being his larger-than-life self.

Did he actually buy the tigers? In short—no. What he did, though, was “sponsor” them, according to Exotic. That meant providing funding for things like food and veterinarian bills.

For the record, @SHAQ didn’t “buy” tigers in #Wynnewood this week. But he was there, and they’re pretty darn cute

Exotic claimed that O’Neal had sponsored five different tigers in his park. “People like Shaq and movie stars helping out, that’s the only way [tigers] will stay on this planet,” he said.

How does Shaq feel about Tiger King?

On his podcast The Big Podcast with Shaq, Shaq addressed the series, which he says is “actually a really good documentary,” and one that he’s already binge-watched. He did take a few minutes of the podcast, though to attempt to clear his name and distance himself from Joe Exotic in light of his first episode cameo.

“I love tigers—especially white ones,” he said. He continued, detailing that one time when the Dallas Mavericks were playing the Oklahoma City Thunder, he took the Shaq Bus rather than flying, and on the way he came across a tiger sanctuary—Joe Exotic’s to be exact. “So we go in there, and it’s a beautiful place, and the character that was there was [sic] Exotic Joe. I dropped some donations for the tiger foods and all that, we took pictures with tigers, and we went back a couple times.”

He then says that he went back another time, and found out he was involved “with all the stuff,” and at that point he stopped going. “I had no idea that stuff was going on,” he said.

When asked if the documentary could paint him in a bad light, the basketball legend responded strongly, and distanced himself from the documentary’s star.

“I don’t harm tigers. I love tigers. I love white tigers. Do I put donations to these zoos to help these tigers out? I do all the time. Do I own tigers personally at my house? No. But I love tigers,” he said. “Listen, people are going to make their own opinions, but, again, I was just a visitor. I met this guy—not my friend. I don’t know him. Never had any business dealings with him, and I had no idea any of that stuff was going on.”

Harvey Weinstein once claimed HE was the victim of child sex abuse

Harvey Weinstein once claimed HE was the victim of child sex abuse in texts to a gossip columnist

  • Harvey Weinstein once claimed to have been the victim of childhood sexual abuse in a text to gossip columnist AJ Benza, unsealed court documents reveal
  • Benza text Weinstein in 2017 as allegations of sexual assault piled up against him
  • When Benza suggested Weinstein could have been a victim, he replied: ‘It is a incident when I was a very young boy,’ before asking him to delete the message
  • Weinstein has been sentenced to 23 years in jail after being convicted of rape

Harvey Weinstein once claimed he was the victim of child sexual abuse as allegations about his own abusive behavior toward women mounted in 2017.

The movie mogul, who has since been convicted of rape and sentenced to 23 years, made the claim during a text conversation with AJ Benza – a gossip columnist who was once on the payroll of Weinstein’s studio.

The conversation was unveiled in court documents collected by New York prosecutors that were unsealed after Weinstein was sentenced this week.

Harvey Weinstein once claimed to have been the victim of child sex assault in 2017 as accusations of his own abusive behavior mounted

Weinstein texted gossip columnist AJ Benza saying he was ‘working on’ an ‘incident when I was a very young boy’ in therapy, but then asked him to delete the message

They show that Benza had messaged Weinstein late in 2017 as he faced a tide of negative press, suggesting that he could have been abused as a child.

‘Are you sure a rabbi or someone didn’t do things to you when you were a little boy?’ Benza said. ‘It takes a monster to make a monster,’ he added.

In a rambling response, Weinstein wrote: ‘I am working on it here [in therapy]. It is a incident when I was a very young boy.’

He then added: ‘I’m having a hard time I beg you not to say anything, please change subject and delete this, I am breaking down remembering.

Benza had initially messaged Weinstein suggesting he may have been abused, saying ‘it takes a monster to make a monster’

‘I need your friendship, I want to be a writer.’

The information did not appear in any subsequent story about Weinstein.

Benza is a former New York Daily News gossip columnist who was accused of taking money from Weinstein in 2004 to collect stories on other celebrities for his PR team to use as bartering chips to kill off negative coverage of the Miramax boss.

Weinstein denied the claims when they first appeared in 2017, saying only that Benza was paid for ‘PR work’.

Weeks after the text conversation, court documents show Weinstein’s PR team crafted a never-published statement attempting to paint himself as the victim.

‘Three months ago I could never say the following words, nor even think them to myself: I’m an addict. I’m a sex addict. I’m an anger addict,’ the statement said.

‘To medicate, I comfort myself with bad food. My mind sees despair. My body has trauma. Vets tell me I have PTSD.

‘I have only despair. I have lost my family. I have daughters that will not talk to me. I have lost my wife. I have lost the respect of my ex-wife and generally almost all of my friends. I have no company. I’m alone.

Describing himself as ‘suicidal’, Weinstein’s statement continued: ‘The #MeToo movement is powerful. Hurtful, but deserved.

‘I read what Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Ashley Judd, and so many others have written. While there are two sides to these stories, truthfully, I don’t know how to tell it without being crucified.

‘There’s a difference between assault and womanizing. There’s a difference between assault and cheating.’

Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in jail Wednesday for rape and sexual assault, meaning he will likely die behind bars (pictured in a court sketch listening to accuser Jessica Mann speak)

Weinstein was convicted of third degree rape and criminal sexual assault on February 24 for raping actress Jessica Mann in 2013 and forcibly performing oral sex on production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006.

He was acquitted of rape in the first degree and of two counts of predatory sexual assault which related to the two incidents.

On Thursday he was sentenced to 23 years in jail – 20 years on the criminal sex act charge and three years for third-degree rape.

The disgraced Hollywood producer’s defense team slammed the punishment as ‘obscene’ and have vowed to appeal.

The 67-year-old, who is in poor health and will not be eligible for parole for 20 years, could potentially spend the rest of his life in prison.

He is currently being held in a medical facility having complained of chest pains after his sentence was handed down.

Angie Martinez Once Fought Wendy Williams

Angie Martinez and Wendy Williams were both powerhouses in urban radio in the 90s and 2000s. The two women broke barriers in their reporting on hip hop at a time when it was male-dominated. Naturally, the powers that be would try and pit them against one another, as opposed to enforcing girl power.

However, Martinez revealed in her memoir that it wasn’t the men who stirred up drama between them, but Williams’s gossip itself. They came to blows in an epic behind the scenes showdown.

Angie Martinez details fight with Wendy Williams

In Martinez’s 2016 memoir My Voice, she chronicled her life as a hip-hop radio personality. She got her start at Hot 97 in New York City at just 16-years-old and worked her way up from intern to radio host and interviewed some of the biggest names in rap, including the late Tupac Shakur.

Her and Williams both eventually worked at the station during different time periods and were two of the most popular radio hosts – but they had differing styles of reporting. Williams became famous for airing out people’s dirty laundry while Martinez took a more journalistic approach. When Williams revealed Martinez’s personal business, it landed her in hot water with Martinez.

Martinez was dating rapper Q-Tip at the time and Williams made snide remarks about Martinez and Q-Tip’s relationship. Williams said on her show, “One of my co-workers is dating Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest. Oh well. I guess some women like men who like men.” Martinez was pissed.

“Everybody was gay to Wendy,” Martinez wrote in the book. “Every rapper you could think of in that era, I had heard Wendy Williams call them gay. Not one or two. Like every one of them.”

Martinez tried reaching out to Williams to hash things out but each time, she failed. Frustrated, she confronted Williams at the station.

“I lost my f–king mind,” she wrote. “Before I knew it I was swinging at her. It was a quick scuffle. It took only a few seconds for me to realize that she wasn’t really hitting me back — she was just trying to get me off of her.”

Williams grabbed a nearby mop after they were separated by a co-worker to defend herself against Martinez. Martinez wrote that Williams “just stood there with it like she wanted to have some sort of sword fight or something. It was actually kind of funny, even in the moment.”

They were both suspended from the station and Martinez claimed Williams called on her listeners to harass Martinez.

“I used to get threatening faxes . . . that said things like, B–ch, get off the radio. I’ll break your jaw,’ ” she wrote. “It was awful and it made me insecure.”

Williams was eventually fired from Hot 97, with Martinez claiming that station executives were fed up with Williams’s rude behavior.

How is the relationship between Wendy Williams and Angie Martinez today?

Martinez said that she didn’t ever run into Williams after their fight and Williams’s firing from Hot 97. She remained on Hot 97 for 25 years before leaving in 2014 to work for its rival station, Power 105.1 in New York City.

Williams left radio altogether in 2008 to transition into television. Before her hit daytime talk show, she hosted The Wendy Williams Experience on VH1 while working for the radio station WBLS in 2006.

After years of not seeing or speaking to one another, Williams interviewed Martinez in 2016 when Martinez was promoting her memoir. The two made peace but things went sour on Williams’s end after she was allegedly furious over Martinez inking a deal for her own daytime talk show.
