Man City leading £6m transfer race for Sontje Hansen,18, after Ajax striker was top scorer at Under-17 World Cup – The Sun

MANCHESTER CITY are reportedly in pole position in the race to snare Ajax starlet Sontje Hansen away from the Eredivisie.

The Citizens are one of a number of clubs keen on signing the 18-year-old striker who has starred at youth level for Holland.

According to Goal, Serie A sides Juventus and Inter Milan are interested in the teenager, along with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.

But they state that it is City that are favourites to land him, with it alleged that he could cost as little as £6million as he enters the final year of his contract.

And Hansen has put potential suitors on red alert after he admitted he is unsure of what the future holds for him.

Speaking on a recent Instagram live chat, the forward said: "I don't know what Ajax's plan is.

"I still have a year left on my contract and they will have to offer me a new one before I can decide."

Prior to the coronavirus crisis ending the Eredivisie season, Hansen had featured in two games for Ajax's senior side.

His displays at international level for Holland are said to have caught the eye of a number of scouts.

Last year he helped Holland win the U-17 European Championship where he chipped in with three goals in six games – including a strike in the 4-2 win against Italy in the final.

And he stole the show at the U-17 World Cup later in 2019 after he helped Holland reach the semi-finals before they crashed out to Mexico on penalties.

He won the Golden Boot at the tournament having banged in six goals in seven outings, as well as providing three assists for his team-mates.

Timo Werner transfer to Liverpool ‘happening’, with Reds set to offload three stars to fund £52m deal – The Sun

LIVERPOOL are closing in on a £52million deal for Germany sensation Timo Werner.

Sources say the transfer of the RB Leipzig striker is "happening".

Boss Jurgen Klopp is desperate to sign the hitman and plans to bring in £52m by selling Roma-target Xherdan Shaqiri, Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic.

German newspaper Bild's Head of Football Christian Falk believes Werner's switch to Liverpool will happen this summer.

He told lfctransferroom: “According to our information, the clause is 55 million as a base value and can grow to 60 million if RB Leipzig makes it into the Champions League.

“And yes, I think this transfer is happening. Interestingly, Werner now has a new Social Media and Marketing agency.

“The boss of this agency is also Jurgen Klopp’s manager.

“Werner is also talking a lot about Liverpool in the public eye now, too."

Klopp wants the 28-goal striker to boost his amazing frontline of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Werner has steered Leipzig into the last eight of the Champions League.

He has already snubbed a summer switch to Bayern Munich.

There are clauses in his contract which means his value decreases dramatically over the next year or two.

It will reportedly drop to £22m in 2022.

Tottenham plot transfer swoop for Brazil international full-back Emerson – who is co-owned by Barcelona and Real Betis – The Sun

TOTTENHAM are reportedly plotting a swoop for Brazilian international Emerson – who is owned by Barcelona and Real Betis.

Right-back is a position Jose Mourinho seems key to strengthen after being linked with several players in recent weeks.

Barca’s Nelson Semedo is another name believed to be on his wishlist.

Now Mundo Deportivo claims the 21-year-old Emerson is the man Mourinho wants.

The South American initially joined the Nou Camp club in January 2019 from Atletico Mineiro in a deal worth around £11million.

Both Barcelona and Real Betis agreed to pay half that figure each for the star.

Each side co-own Emerson but he has played for Betis since, with Bara having an option to sign him permanently for £5m next year.

So, in theory, the one-capped Brazil ace will move to the La Liga powerhouses at the end of next season.

However, it has now emerged Spurs are ready to test the water and see whether they can convince Barca to cash-in.

Although Mourinho could face a difficult task convincing Emerson to turn his back on his dreams in favour of a switch to England.

The player recently said: “I started my career at just 16 then three years later I am at Betis, but I am owned by Barcelona and in the Brazilian national squad.

“My career has only just begun but my aims are to win the Champions League and the World Cup.

“My adaptation to Spain has been excellent, not only on the football pitch but also with the food, the people and the language, a lot of it reminds me of Brazil.

“My dream is to succeed as a Barcelona player, to make history and start by winning titles.”

Arsenal plotting £50m transfer raid for Real Madrid flop Luka Jovic in bid to replace Aubameyang – The Sun

ARSENAL reportedly want to sign struggling Real Madrid star Luka Jovic this summer.

Mikel Arteta plans to bring in a new striker as speculation continues to surround Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's future.

According to the Daily Star, the Gunners will make their move for Jovic if Real Madrid decide to offload him.

The 22-year-old has failed to live up to expectations since his £50million move to the Bernabeu last summer.

Madrid decided to splash the cash on him as he scored 27 goals in 48 games for Eintracht Frankfurt last season.

But he has fallen out of favour for Zinedine Zidane's side after scoring just twice this term.

The report claims Chelsea and Tottenham are also interested in the seven-cap Serbia international.

Chelsea dealt transfer blow as Lautaro Martinez ‘agrees personal terms with Barcelona’ amid lure of joining Lionel Messi – The Sun

CHELSEA have been dealt a huge blow after reports in Spain claimed Lautaro Martinez has agreed personal terms with Barcelona.

The Blues had hoped to revolutionise their attacking line with the Inter Milan striker as part of a £300million overhaul this summer.

But Martinez, 22, has agreed personal terms with Barca, with the two clubs now just needing to negotiate a transfer fee, according to Sport.

Frustratingly for Serie A giants Inter, the release clause they had in place for their star striker will now count for nothing.

The Italians added a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for £100m between July 1 and July 15.

But with coronavirus forcing the season to be delayed and the season-ending deadline pushed back, the season will likely still be going on.

Meanwhile, players who are out of contract on June 30 will be forced to stay at their clubs into the summer and until the end of the season, a Fifa statement revealed.

The goalkeeper has kept nine clean sheets in 26 Serie A games for the Italian club this season.

Real Madrid keeping transfer tabs on Nabil Fekir after staring for Real Betis following Lyon switch – The Sun

REAL MADRID are reportedly eyeing a summer swoops for Real Betis star Nabil Fekir.

The French attacker has enjoyed a fine season since leaving Lyon to switch to La Liga.

And according to Estadio Deportivo, his form has alerted Los Blancos, who are sure to invest in their forward line at the end of the season.

In their last game before the coronavirus pandemic saw the Spanish season halted, Fekir helped lead Betis to a 2-1 win against Real.

His performance in particular caught the eye of Real president Florentino Perez.

Fekir joined Betis last summer in a £17.7m deal from Lyon.

The Frenchman was on the verge of completing a £52million switch to the Reds in the summer of 2018 before Jurgen Klopp’s side pulled out of a deal.

The deal went cold due to Liverpool attempting to renegotiate the fee after issues cropped up in his medical.

Arsenal were claimed to have made contact with the 26-year-old, who was available for the cut-price fee as Lyon didn't want to lose him on a free.

But the Gunners missed out on a move because they failed to offload £350,000-a-week Mesut Ozil.

Fekir has scored seven goals in 22 league games this season, becoming a creative force for striker Loren Moron, himself having attracted transfer interest recently.

Chelsea eyeing transfer bid for Man Utd goalkeeper Dean Henderson with Kepa’s future still uncertain – The Sun

CHELSEA are reportedly targeting a summer move for Manchester United keeper Dean Henderson.

The stopper – on loan at Champions League chasing Sheffield United – has had a breakthrough season with 10 clean sheets, with only England rival Nick Pope ahead with more.

And it has attracted attention from the Blues, according to the Daily Star, with Chelsea's goalkeeping situation up in the air.

World record keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga – who signed for £71.6million last season – was dropped by Frank Lampard after a string of blunders.

Having warmed the bench for five consecutive games the Spaniard returned to the Chelsea side in the FA Cup against Liverpool, keeping a clean sheet in a more confident performance.

Yet boss Lampard is said to still be unconvinced with the 25-year-old, who has conceded 43 goals in all competitions this term.

It comes as United have a decision to make between the posts themselves.

Old Trafford No1 David de Gea, like countryman Kepa, has also underperformed during the season with another high-profile error in last Sunday’s draw at Everton.

Henderson – who turns 23 this week and is expected to be named in England's Euro 2020 squad – was already being talked about as a possible replacement for De Gea next season.

But it is understood boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to keep hold of the Spanish stopper, who only signed a new £375,000-a-week contract in September.

It leaves Chelsea ready to pounce should they stick with De Gea, as in-form Henderson is not likely to settle as No2 at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer is also hoping to fend off interest from Real Madrid, as SunSport revealed Zinedine Zidane remains a huge fan of De Gea and wants him to replace Thibaut Courtois.

De Gea almost moved to Real in the 2015 summer window before the deal collapsed as the paperwork was not lodged in time due to a fax problem.

Mourinho gears up for transfer fight with Levy in summer as threadbare Spurs enter make-or-break week – The Sun

JOSE MOURINHO has accepted defeat in his battle to prioritise one competition this season.

But Tottenham’s boss set himself up for a bigger fight with supremo Daniel Levy this summer.

Spurs’ crippling injury list has hit the club hard and exposed Mourinho to criticism over his methods.
Heading into today’s teatime clash at Burnley, they are on a   four- match losing run.

After the FA Cup KO on penalties against Norwich, Mourinho vowed to see his chairman and ask him to decide if he should prioritise today’s clash or Tuesday’s Champions League second-leg with RB Leipzig.

No such show–down has taken place, with Mourinho accepting they have no choice but to go full tilt in both matches despite his threadbare squad showing signs of running on empty.

But the Special One has made it clear Spurs must spend big in the summer because they simply cannot be caught short by injuries again.

Mourinho said: “I know the priority, I do not need a specific day to have a specific discussion with the boss.

JACK GREALISH has dropped the biggest hint yet that he wants to stay at Aston Villa beyond the end of the season.

The Villans captain, 24, came through the youth ranks at his beloved club and is adored as the hero of Villa Park.

The £80million-rated man is wanted by Manchester United in a big-money move this summer as the Red Devils look to bring in some more creativity into the midfield.

Bruno Fernandes arrived in January and has provided a much-needed boost but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be determined to get another playmaker in.

As revealed by SunSport, United are still hopeful of landing a double swoop for Grealish and close pal James Maddison of Leicester.

But speaking ahead of the Carabao Cup final, Grealish revealed he wants to stick around at Villa, break into the England squad and win trophies with his boyhood club – and he has the chance to do that at Wembley on Sunday when Dean Smith's side face Villa.
