First Dates fans cringe as man ‘walks off’ as woman forgets name in faux pas

First Dates fans were left cringing after dating hopeful Chloe forgot her date's name in an awkward blunder.

The blonde bombshell was on a date with Anthony, and they'd already had drinks at the bar and ordered their food before she forgot his name.

She became flustered as she admitted: "I forgot your name!"

He got up as if to leave before saying: "Come on, it's Anthony."

Luckily he seemed to see the funny side, and the pair shared a laugh at the awkward moment.

Fans flooded Twitter with comments, cringing at her name mishap.

One said: "She forgot Anthony ‘s name!" with two cringe-face emojis.

While another wrote: "She forgot his name .. awkward."

"Chloe is cracking me up, top lass" added a third.

Daily Star spoke to First Dates legend Fred Sirieix about the behind-the-scenes drama on the Channel 4 dating series.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, the 48-year-old lifted the lid on what goes on backstage.

Hinting at backstage chaos, he said: "We have our own private naughty conversations which I can't tell you about!

"We have a great relationship, we have a lot of fun. It's always fun to go and work and film and run the restaurant.

"We genuinely have a good time behind the scenes and we have a great production team. That's what makes the show, really."

He added: "There are operational conversations which are necessary. We talk about the daters and whether they are working or not."
