Tennis player Novak Djokovic won his visa appeal to remain in Australia, but could still face deportation after reportedly being detained by authorities once again. Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Monday, Martina Navratilova shared more insight into the case for ITV viewers and criticised the sportsman’s decision to not be vaccinated.
The Grand Slam winner claimed the situation has escalated from a “snafu” to a full-blown “FUBAR” during her ITV interview on Monday.
“It’s beyond belief, really,” she said. “What a saga.
“It all could have been avoided. So many people messed up and took some things for granted.
“I just wish that Novak had taken that vaccination, to begin with.”
