Gavin and Stacey’s Alison Steadman spills behind-the-scenes secrets about show

Alison Steadman, who played loveable Essex housewife Pamela on Gavin and Stacey, has opened up about the well-received Christmas special.

It's been a decade since the comedy series wrapped its third series, with many fans holding out hope the show would return.

Last year, viewers' dreams became a reality when Gavin and Stacey's co-creators Ruth Jones and James Corden rallied the troops for a one-off festive special.

Speaking about their 10-year reunion, which pulled in a whopping 18 million viewers, the British actress admitted Ruth text her asking if she would be up for the Xmas episode.

When Eamonn asked how long it took for them to be together on set, she replied: "About three months."

"Honestly, I no idea. I would doubt it because James is so big in America and Ruth is writing novels."
