Love is Blind’s Matt claims Jessica was ‘just trying to sell herself’ on Netflix show in brutal snub
LOVE is Blind’s Matt Barnett has claimed Jessica Batten was "just trying to sell herself" on Netflix show in brutal snub.
The dating show sees 30 men and women try to find love without actually meeting, spending 10 days in a speed dating format where they date in different pods, but cannot see each other.
*Spoilers ahead for Love is Blind*
Matt found himself torn between Jessica, Lauren Chamblin (LC) and Amber Pike but eventually ended up choosing Amber.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said: "I don't think anybody could ever imagine what is going on in my mind."
Of his pod date with Jessica he added: "With Jessica, I got this thought in my head that she was just a salesperson because I knew that's what she had done in the past.
"It made me reevaluate if she was just trying to sell herself to me."
As for Amber, Matt felt they would never be more than friends, although she had become convinced he would pick her over the other girls.
He said: "Between Amber and LC, LC and I are still pretty good friends.
"My mindset was like I could see LC because we were so alike, but then again, I realised that it would be a better friendship than actually a marriage."
As for what made him pop the question to Amber, he explained: "Amber just had that fire that I needed in my life."
Meanwhile, Jessica has responded to the major backlash after she shared wine with her dog in shocking scenes.
As she chatted to Mark Cuevas, who is 10 years her junior, Jessica started sharing her glass of red with her pooch, putting the glass to her dog's mouth so she could take a sip, adding: "She loves wine".
Viewers were disgusted by the scenes, and addressing the backlash, Jessica told Entertainment Weekly: "I definitely have never done that before; I won’t do that again.
"I love my dog more than anything and that was not something I would ever recommend anyone to do. I think I was just really uncomfortable.
"I don’t even remember doing it. I don’t know why I did that but it was definitely unnecessary for sure.”
Love Is Blind is available to stream on Netflix now.
