Love Island’s Finn says his football job is ‘up in the air’ and he WILL move to Manchester with Paige – The Sun
LOVE Island star Finn Tapp has said his career with Oxford City is "up in the air" – and insisted he WILL be moving to Manchester with girlfriend Paige Turley.
The football club had appeared to put the brakes on the big move earlier this week when they said he "has to finish" his contract.
When asked by Heat magazine what was going on with "Oxford United" the 20-year-old star replied: "Oxford City. I wish I played for Oxford United, they're the higher ones."
He added: "It's all up in the air, obviously. I'm proper busy. I have been in touch with the manager and stuff. It's not what it's being made out to be."
Despite Finn being loved up and with a newfound celebrity income, Oxford City's commercial director Mick Livesey said he is expected back at the club.
He told the BBC: "He was [in breach of his contract] but I think you need to take a pragmatic sort of view: A 20-year-old lad, he's offered all this reality TV stuff.
"He has a contract, so he has to finish the contract he has with the football club. He's done very, very well for us."
He added: "We're an ambitious football club, we're going from strength to strength and we're looking to build.
"This hasn't been ideal. It is probably disruptive to the club and results.”
But speaking about moving to the north west with Paige today, Finn said: "I think it will be Manchester we go to.
"Paige said yesterday: 'Within a month, we'll have a place.' I think it will be soon, we're hoping to do it really soon."
Oxford City's Marston ground is a drive of around four hours away from their hoped-for new home in Manchester.
The couple said they were even open to moving into former Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague's flat in the city after she went to live with Tommy Fury.
When told the property was up for grabs by Amy Hart and had floor-to-ceiling windows, Finn replied keenly: "Yeah, we'll get in touch."
