Moon Knight fans convinced third identity Jake Lockley has shown up in episode 3

Warning: spoilers ahead for Moon Knight episode 3 on Disney Plus.

The latest instalment of the MCU’s Moon Knight on Disney Plus featured even more bloodshed – as well as the hint that Oscar Isaac could have a third identity named Jake Lockley up his sleeve.

In episode 3 on Disney Plus, Marc Spector (Oscar), and by extension Steven Grant, is in Egypt on his continued journey to find Ammit’s tomb before cult leader Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke) can get there first.

He’s followed by his wife Layla El-Faouly (May Calamawy), who helps him by introducing him to Anton Mogart (Gaspard Ulliel), an antiquities collector also known as Midnight Man.

After Harrow shows up and causes mayhem, Steven and Marc must turn to Khonshu for assistance, at great personal cost to the Egyptian moon god.

Marc’s trip to Egypt turns bloody

At the end of episode two, it was revealed that Marc – and a trapped Steven – had made their way to Egypt in search of Ammit’s tomb, having lost the golden scarab to Harrow.

Having learnt that Senfu’s sarcophagus could help provide the location of the tomb, Marc does some asking around – but in doing so, ends up in a bloody altercation with a group of men.

Is a Jake Lockley reveal on the cards?

While fighting with three men, Marc suddenly wakes up to find himself in a taxi heading to the airport, unclear of what just happened.

When he wakes up again, he’s killed one of the men… but when he asks Steven what he did, Steven insists that it wasn’t him, insinuating that there is another identity who has committed murder on their behalf.

Several viewers are convinced that identity is none other than Jake Lockley, a streetsmart taxi driver, the first hint being when Marc wound up in a cab.

In the comics, Jake is able to gather valuable information from the streets through his occupation.

‘I’m seeing people suggest that maybe Jake Lockley is the one who did the bloodshed and while I can see that I’m just a bit surprised they seem to making Jake the violent and dark one like yes he had his connections with the underworld but wasn’t really violent,’ another remarked.

Marc and Layla meet Midnight Man

The latest episode saw the late Ulliel make his debut in the MCU show, as Marc and Layla seek out Anton Mogart, otherwise known as the Midnight Man.

While this sets Steven, Marc and Layla on the right path, Khonshu is imprisoned in stone by the other Egyptian gods, much to Harrow’s delight.

Moon Knight is available to watch on Disney Plus with new episodes released on Wednesdays.
