Sarah Ferguson tells The One Show hosts shes up for Celebrity Masterchef stint

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has revealed she could be tempted into putting her chef's hat on and making an epic appearance on Celebrity Masterchef in the future.

The 61-year-old royal Duchess featured on The One Show on Monday night, and she hinted that she could be "inspired" to get cooking and even appear on Celebrity Masterchef.

Sarah had appeared on the BBC sofa alongside Loose Women presenter Penny Lancaster and Dion Dublin, who are set to feature on this year's Celebrity Masterchef.

Penny had been explaining how she ended up joining the show herself when Sarah decided to intervene, suggesting that Penny could inspire her to start cooking herself.

The Duchess said: "Maybe you should inspire me to even try [to cook] one day."

Penny jumped at the idea, replying: "There you go, Sarah, you're gonna sign up [for Masterchef]!"

Presenter Alex Jones quickly leapt in to agree with the idea of the royal featuring on the cooking show, saying: "Next year, let's sign you up [for the show]. Come on!"

Alex's co-host Gethin Jones then joined in and said that Sarah was only one email away from joining the show.

The Duchess said: "Yeah, yeah yeah," as she nodded her head, as if to confirm she'd be excited to take part.
