Spoilers: Ben collapses in EastEnders as he makes a shock revelation
Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) has had it pretty rough in EastEnders as of late, but there’s more drama ahead for the young man, as — while battling a fever — he collapses, before revealing to Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) that he can’t hear anything.
Bne has struggled to come to terms with his additional hearing loss, and — desperate for the operation — he was devastated when he learned that the procedure had to be postponed.
In the weeks that followed, he ended up in a warehouse on the night in which he was supposed to take part in a dodgy job with Phil (Steve McFadden), but — upon discovering it was a set-up — he pleaded with Danny (Paul Usher) to let him go.
However, Danny shot a gun nearby — which caused Ben to writhe in pain — and afterwards it became apparent that he couldn’t hear a single thing — something which he’s kept to himself ever since.
In the coming episodes, he continues to battle a fever, and Callum (Tony Clay) gives him some strong medication to help before heading off.
Jay soon arrives, but he’s shocked when Ben collapses. When the young man wakes up, he finally admits that he can’t hear anything, and Jay demands that he go to the hospital.

Will Ben comply with Jay’s order?
