Harry Redknapp transforms house into ultimate eco-pad and goes green for his grandkids
HARRY Redknapp has turned his house into the ultimate eco-pad and gone green for his grandkids.
The ex-Spurs boss and wife Sandra, both 74, have the latest eco gear in their new home.
They are doing it beacuse they wanted to leave “a better world” for their grandkids, including the one ex-footballer son Jamie is expecting with his partner.
It has an air-source heat pump, electric vehicle charging point, and a smart meter measures energy usage and cost.
Harry said at his four-bed home near Poole, Dorset: “I’m now an expert in heat pumps!”
But he drew the line at going vegan, saying: “That’s not for me.”
Growing veg is also out as their dog Barney would “wee on it”.
They will kit it out with eco-appliances.
Sandra said: “In the long term, you save money.”
Harry also backed our “fantastic” Mask Force drive, asking readers to recycle single-use coverings.
THE Redknapps teamed up with Smart Energy GB to encourage everyone to do their bit, help Britain reach net zero, and build a more efficient energy system, by getting a smart meter installed from their supplier at no additional cost.
