Passenger on Bronx MTA bus stabs rider for looking at wife: cops
A passenger on a Bronx MTA bus flew into a rage and repeatedly stabbed another man whom he accused of looking at his wife, according to police.
The 31-year-old victim and the alleged attacker — along with his spouse — were at a Bx41 bus stop on Willis Avenue near East 149th Street in Mott Haven around 6:10 p.m. Oct. 6 when the suspect made the accusation, authorities said.
All three got on the bus, where the squabble turned violent, police said.
The suspect brandished a knife and stabbed the victim numerous times, drawing blood, cops said.
He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center in stable condition.
The suspect — shown in a surveillance photo released by cops wearing glasses, a red shirt and pants and a black jacket — took off, heading south on Third Avenue.
