UFO sightings latest news – Unidentified flying object files 'released TODAY on June 1' as vid shows 'navy ship swarmed'

AN UNCLASSIFIED intelligence report into UFOs is expected to be delivered to Congress this month – with speculation it could arrive as soon as today.

Congress passed legislation in December, mandating the Department of Defense and the National Intelligence Director to produce a report about “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” within six months.

The report will be unclassified and is expected to contain everything the US Government knows about UAPs, The Washington Post reports.

It's thought that the document could arrive as early as today – June 1.

It will examine if unidentified aerial phenomena constitute a threat to US airspace, Deadline reports.

The report is unlikely to conclude that highly advanced extraterrestrials are the cause but it may not rule them out.

It's expected that recommendations for further UFO research and funding will be included within the dossier.

Pentagon officials last year took the unprecedented step to release a trio of remarkable videos which showed "encounters" with UFOs.

Perhaps the most striking was a video known as the “Tic Tac” – which showed an unidentified object being pursued by fighter planes.

And, numerous San Diego-based US warships were reportedly visited by strange vessels from above.

The USS Kidd, a Navy destroyer, was using night vision cameras and spotted several mysterious flashing objects in the skies, according to footage the Pentagon revealed to The Sun.

    'THEY'RE REAL'

A former US Navy fighter pilot who witnessed the ‘Tic Tac’ UFO has said her fellow aviators kept quiet for fear of being labelled kooky.

Lt. Commander Alex Dietrich was training with a strike group approximately 100 miles south-west of San Diego when she and another pilot spotted the mysterious object.

Along with fellow former pilot Commander Dave Fravor, who was also on the training mission, she has now spoken out about the encounter.

Dietrich told CBS’s ‘60 Minutes’ fighter pilots had struggled with how much to reveal about the encounter as the descriptions sounded “crazy”.

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH UFOS IN THE US? (2)

Defense chiefs have since confirmed a number of leaked UFO videos and photos which were submitted to the Task Force for investigation.

Why this sudden rush for transparency?

No outside the secretive wings of the US government currently knows for sure.

And as a tacked on addendum to a 5,500 page Covid relief bill passed in December, the the Director of National Intelligence’s office was ordered to compile a report on UFOs within 180 days.

Former intelligence director John Ratcliffe has hinted the report will be a big deal – and we now just over a month away from its release.

The report is due to be published this month and some UFO lobbyists claim it could be the “most profound moment in human history“.

WHAT'S GOING ON WITH UFOS IN THE US? (1)

UFOS have stepped from fringe conspiracy theories to a genuine national security debate in the US.

Pentagon officials last year took the unprecedented step to release of trio of remarkable videos which showed US encounters with UFOs.

The debate is still open as to what the phenomena caught on film were – but it made clear to everyone, something is in the skies.

Perhaps the most striking was a video known as the “Tic Tac” – which showed an unidentified object being pursued by fighter planes.

The US also confirmed the existence of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) – a Pentagon programme set up to study UFOs before being disbanded in 2017.

However, it was replaced by the UAP Task Force in June 2020 after a vote by the US Senate Intelligence Committee.

    UF-WOAH

Footage appears to show a US Navy warship being swarmed by 14 “spherical” UFOs traveling at up to 160mph.

The video was leaked to Jeremy Corbell, a documentary film maker, who has been behind a recent string of UFO footage

Corbell posted the clip on his Instagram to his 200,000 followers. showing the USS Omaha's radar screen with audible chatter in the background from the crew.

He explained the July 15, 2019, encounter off the coast of San Diego lasted two hours from 9pm to 11pm and ended when one of the 6ft objects plunged into the ocean.

It is claimed the unknown objects – which are said to have been described as “spherical” – were hitting speeds of up to 158mph.

A crew member said: “138 knots. Holy s***. They’re going fast. Oh, it’s turning around.”

    OBAMA: 'TAKE UFO SIGHTINGS SERIOUSLY'

Former US president Barack Obama warned UFO sightings by the military “must be taken seriously”.

Speaking to James Corden on The Late Late Show last month, Obama said he had seen the recently-released footage of UFOs harassing US military targets.

The former president revealed he had been curious about the US Government’s research programs into alien lifeforms when he was elected President in 2008, but laughed off rumours of a secret lab where alien specimens were kept.

He said: “What is true… is that there's footage and records of objects in the skies that we don't know exactly what they are.

“We can't explain how they moved, their trajectory… they did not have an easily explainable pattern.

“So I think that people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is. But I have nothing to report to you today.”

'MYSTERY UFOS MAY COME FROM UNDERWATER BASE'

UFOs detected traveling at “unprecedented speeds” by US Navy nuke submarines may come from an underwater base, it has been claimed.

The Pentagon is said to have confirmed footage showing a mysterious pyramid as genuine ahead of a potentially explosive official report on numerous UFO sightings.

The submarine sightings were revealed by Tom Rogan from the Washington Examiner.

Earlier this week, Rogan told Fox News' Tucker Carlson it is not thought the craft could be technology from a foreign power.

He said: “I have heard from very good sources and that the US Navy has the data.

“I think what we may well be looking at a true unknown.”

Officials have speculated that the “crafts” could be coming from an underwater base, The Daily Star reported.

    'I WANT TO BELIEVE'

Humanity may be just weeks away from finding out the truth about UFOs and potential aliens, a disclosure campaigner has claimed.

Steve Bassett, who has tirelessly worked to end the 74-year embargo of classified information on UFOs,told The Sun Online he believes intelligence agencies are preparing to lift the lid on extraterrestrial encounters.

The US Senate Intelligence Committee has asked the Director of National Intelligence to work with the Defense Department to provide a report by June 25 on unexplained sightings by the military.

The request came after revelations in 2017 that the Pentagon was researching a series of unexplained intrusions into military airspace, including mysterious objects captured on video stalking US Navy ships.

Since then, defense officials have confirmed a number of UFO sightings – and even released stunning videos which show unexplained encounters in the sky, now often known as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP).

Bassett, the executive director of Paradigm Research Group and a lobbyist on this issue, says he believes US intelligence is about to end what he called the 74 year truth embargo.

    BUZZ KILL

UFOs are flying over the US, the military doesn't know what they are or who is behind them, and we can't stop them, an ex-Pentagon investigator revealed.

Luis Elizondo, who headed up the secretive Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), told The US Sun strange “provocations” reported in a slew of footage by the US military are real – and the question is now simply “what are they?”.

Elizondo claimed he had seen “very very compelling data” which convinced him of the existence of these strange objects seemingly menacing the US.

Lawmakers on the Intelligence Committee last year voted to set up the UAP Task Force – and in December gave them a 180-day deadline to produce a report on the strange phenomena caught on camera by US servicemen.

The ex-DOD official simply said “all options are on the table until they are off the table, we need to let the data speak for itself”.

'TAKE UFO'S SERIOUSLY', SAYS GOP SENATOR

The US should take UFOs entering the country's airspace seriously and shouldn't laugh them off, Republican Senator Marco Rubio warned last month.

He told CBS 60 Minutes that investigating aircraft from foreign powers or another civilization should be given more time and resources.

The Republican said: “I want us to take it seriously and have a process to take it seriously.

“I want us to have a process to analyze the data every time it comes in. That there be a place where this is cataloged and constantly analyzed until we get some answers.”

The US Senate Intelligence Committee has asked the Director of National Intelligence to work with the Defense Department to provide a report by June 25 on unexplained sightings by the military.

WHAT DOES FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP THINK ABOUT UFO'S?

Former president Donald Trump discussed the upcoming Pentagon report with conservative commentator Dan Bongino last week.

He said: “I'm a believer in what you see, but there are a lot of people out there who are into that. I get that so much: 'is it true, sir?'

“I'm not such a believer, but some people are, so I don't want to hurt their dreams or their fears.”
