At the time, Rachel clarified it was not \u201cfair\u201d of her to judge someone\u2019s sex life and \u201cprobably wouldn\u2019t\u201d ask a man about the number of partners he had moving forward. But it\u2019s safe to say that Whoopi still wasn\u2019t a fan of her take \u2013 at all. She blasted the 42-year-old on the show Thursday, saying:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m sorry, I think it\u2019s very odd that you\u2019re concerned that he\u2019s had sexual partners \u2014 any sexual partners. Why is it your business? Listen, men, traditionally, were taught to have many sexual partners. That\u2019s how it was. Men could go and do whatever they wanted to do, and women were not supposed to. Now, that has been shifting, and young women have been bitching about, you know, \u2018Why are you telling me what I should be \u2019 Now, it\u2019s happening  and you\u2019re mad. I don\u2019t understand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wow, Whoopi did not hold back her opinions! You can watch the entire discussion on the matter (below):<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"lazyload\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rachel Bilson Questions Mens&#039; Sexual History | The View\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TsEq3sIjnmE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Oof!<\/p>\n<p>Rachel has since caught wind of Whoopi\u2019s criticisms and now wants to make a few things clear when it comes to her comments. She slammed the television personality for not listening to the &#8220;whole conversation&#8221; first before judging her, telling <em>Entertainment Weekly<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to say that I\u2019ve been a fan of Whoopi\u2019s for a very long time, so when I saw the tagline that she criticized something I said, I of course was concerned. I think it\u2019s important to hear a whole conversation before casting your own judgment or criticism on something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Hart of Dixie<\/em> star then made it clear her team aims for the podcast to be \u201ca very safe open place to discuss anything,\u201d noting that she and her co-host <strong>Olivia Allen<\/strong> \u201cwere just talking\u201d when the subject came up. And although Rachel could have taken out that part of the conversation, she thought it was important to keep it in:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have the power to edit our podcast, and I chose to keep the conversation as a whole in, because a lot of the time in life, you say something, and maybe you have a minute and you reflect on it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To that point, Rachel then noted she did have a moment in the podcast where she admitted it wasn\u2019t \u201cfair\u201d of her to analyze a person\u2019s sex life at all:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe point I get across is that it doesn\u2019t matter, and maybe in the past I would\u2019ve looked at it , but I wouldn\u2019t do that anymore. I made it clear that I don\u2019t want to sound judgmental, it was important that that point get across, not what I said initially.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, Rachel insisted she doesn\u2019t stand by her initial \u201cflippant comment\u201d whatsoever:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a flippant comment that I was just talking with friends, and then I retracted it, because even talking about it now, I&#8217;m like, I don&#8217;t actually believe that. That&#8217;s why I think it&#8217;s important to stand up for it and clarify.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hmm. For her part, Olivia also defended the podcast episode, saying:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact that Rachel didn\u2019t edit to make it present a certain way is a true reflection of what actual conversations in real life are. That\u2019s one of our values, and I think that if we are going to continue to do that, that people should listen to the whole episode before passing judgment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Whoopi hasn&#8217;t reacted to Rachel&#8217;s latest remarks.
