ASDA'S amusing Christmas advert tease features one of the world's most iconic jazz and soul singers.<\/p>\n

The multi-platinum-selling global superstar Michael Bubl\u00e9, has been confirmed as the star of Asda's 2023 Christmas campaign.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Fans of the supermarket have been given a sneak peek of its hotly-anticipated Christmas advert and a taste of what's to come later this month.<\/p>\n

Asda has released a 60-second teaser that finally puts seasonal speculation to rest as Michael makes his merry debut as the retailer's latest seasonal recruit.<\/p>\n

The teaser, which premieres this morning (November 1) on ITV at 9.40am during Good Morning Britain, sees Asda colleagues relaxing in a break room mid-shift.<\/p>\n

But they're suddenly disturbed by an unusual "gurgling" sound as the clock ticks to midnight.<\/p>\n

Journeying through a fantastical festive warehouse to find its source, they eventually reach a door marked "MB inside. Do not open til 1.11.23".<\/p>\n

As the door swings open, a lone figure is revealed, silhouetted in the spotlight – it\u2019s Bubl\u00e9.<\/p>\n

The star then turns to the camera and breaks into the classic It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas<\/em>.<\/p>\n

"Shall we?", he says with a smile.<\/p>\n

But what festive fun does Asda have in store for the charming Canadian this Christmas?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fans won't be left wondering for long, as a full advert will be unveiled soon.<\/p>\n

Asda's 90-second showstopping Christmas advert will be aired on Saturday, November 4.<\/p>\n

Fans will be eager to see the full feature this weekend to see how it compares to other retailer's Christmas ads compare.<\/p>\n

David Hills, Asda's chief customer officer said: "At Asda, we absolutely love Christmas and this year we're once again on a mission to bring that warm, festive feeling to households across the UK.<\/p>\n

"Today, we're putting the speculation to rest and confirming that the legend that is Michael Bubl\u00e9 is partnering with us this Christmas to put on a show-stopping performance.<\/p>\n

"With Bubl\u00e9's undeniable ability to spread seasonal smiles and our commitment to quality, at great value, we're a match made in heaven, proving Asda is a one-stop-shop for families seeking magic this Christmas."<\/p>\n

The Sun previously revealed that Michael Bubl\u00e9\u00a0was to front the supermarket's Christmas advert back in September.<\/p>\n

Dad-of-four\u00a0Michael, 47, is worth \u00a365million and has sold \u00a080million records \u2014 including five No1 albums in the UK and a string of hit singles including Everything, Home and Haven\u2019t Met You Yet.<\/p>\n

The ads are directed by Rita Ora's Oscar-winning hubby\u00a0Taika Waititi.<\/p>\n

Waititi, 48, who directed two Thor films, won an Oscar in 2020 for Jojo Rabbit. He wed\u00a0Rita\u00a0in August 2022.<\/p>\n

Asda revealed its Christmas food menu back in October.<\/p>\n

It features chocolate bowls you can eat and giant mince pies.<\/p>\n

Asda's Christmas advert last year saw the return of Will Ferrell's character Buddy the Elf from the movies under the same name.<\/p>\n
