All I&#8217;m doing is eating and napping. Thankfully, my best friend is into it,&#8217; Knox posted to his 10,000 followers while cuddling his dog.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Another update followed on Instagram shortly after &#8211; accompanied by a different selfie. Knox explained:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>&#8216;I\u2019ve been trying to sum up the way it feels to be on HRT.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The only way I can describe it is: the hormones in my body feel right for the first time in my life and it changes absolutely everything.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The noise in my head has quieted. I am at peace.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The posts were made to the writer&#8217;s Instagram and Threads, where he has roughly 12,000 followers and regularly provides updates on his journey\u00a0on becoming a man.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/12\/13\/77705741-12740041-image-a-6_1699797518440.jpg\" height=\"793\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>In his latest post to social media, bestselling writer Rowan Jett\u00e9 Knox publicly ponders how to express how it feels to be on hormone replacement therapy (HRT)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/12\/13\/77706133-12740041-image-m-5_1699797502074.jpg\" height=\"693\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The update contained a section with a series of loosely relevant hashtags, like #trans #transman #transmen, and #transrights<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/12\/14\/77705917-12740041-In_an_accompanying_post_to_Threads_the_46_year_old_spoke_about_h-m-9_1699797901226.jpg\" height=\"630\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>In an accompanying post to Threads, the 46-year-old spoke about how the treatment &#8211; which he started two weeks ago &#8211; has triggered a bout of so-called &#8216;second puberty&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Knox&#8217;s journey began in August, when he announced to his 100,000 Twitter followers that he was &#8216;re-introducing&#8217; himself as a man, a turn in the Toronto-based activist&#8217;s personal life he was proud to make public. The best-selling author has since locked-down his account over abuse he has received online.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also a polyamorist, Knox has since secured a slew of spots on Canadian television to speak about his transgenderism. He has also written about his unique living arrangements, which sees him live with his transgender husband and the couple&#8217;s two transgender girlfriends who are themselves a couple.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Knox has described the relationship as a &#8216;polycule&#8217; in recent articles for Chatelaine and PinkNews.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The author&#8217;s daughter, named Alexis, was the first in the family to come out as\u00a0transgender in early 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Then 11, the preteen went on to participate in a video series organized by Microsoft titled My 24 Hrs, which also featured her then-mother in a supportive role.<\/p>\n<p>Now in her early 20s, her journey saw her given hormone blockers to delay her own puberty, and put in a particular public middle school that had an all-gender bathroom and LGBTQ &#8216;safe space&#8217; stickers on classroom doors.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, it came months before Knox&#8217;s then husband and now wife Zoe too decided she did not associate with her sex designated at birth, beginning an, in Knox&#8217;s words, &#8216;incredibly bumpy&#8217; transition from her old identity, Mark.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/12\/14\/77240289-12740041-Rowan_and_Zoe_s_daughter_Alexis_came_out_as_transgender_in_an_em-a-12_1699799253786.jpg\" height=\"419\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Also included were the slightly more poignant #hrt and #protecttranskids, with the latter being relevant due to Knox&#8217;s daughter Alexis (seen at left with her then mom in 2016), being the first in the family to come out as trans in 2014. one Knox regularly speaks about on social media and on television<\/p>\n<p>Although a part of him feared their relationship wouldn&#8217;t survive, it did &#8211; and nearly ten years later, it has culminated in a four-way relationship with his now wife and their two also-trans girlfriends.<\/p>\n<p>Previously praising Alexis for showing Zoe how &#8216;to be brave like her by example,&#8217; Knox has often posted about the family&#8217;s unique experiences along the way, ramping up his online presence in recent months as he too revealed he was transgender.<\/p>\n<p>Provided in a post to his Instagram account, the writer&#8217;s revelation read: &#8216;It is with joy, relief, and a fair amount of anxiety that I am re-introducing myself to you as Rowan Jette Knox.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I am a trans man, am medically transitioning, and will be exclusively using he\/him pronouns going forward,&#8217; this one titled One Sunny Afternoon: A Memoir of Trauma and Healing.<\/p>\n<p>Another first-hand commentary, this one was described by Knox &#8211; who &#8216;as\u00a0a deeply personal memoir about facing life-long trauma head-on, and bravely healing the scars that endure.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Interviews provided by Knox since have revealed the tome to be an exploration of his healing from &#8216;trauma&#8217; he was subjected to during childhood, and the social media abuse he was subjected to after his first book was published.<\/p>\n<p>Posts to social media further revealed how the reaction caused him to suffer a severe mental-health crisis &#8211; one that has since cleared with the realization he is now a man.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I&#8217;ve known this is who I am for a long time now, but I had to work up the courage to say it out loud,&#8217; he said in his coming out post.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It took months of introspection therapy, long chats with loved ones, plenty of tears, and pushing through a lot of fear and denial to get here.&#8217;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Then, in an article published late last month, Knox revealed he and Zoe had started a polyamorous relationship with another transgender couple, two trans women named Dani and Dame.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Knox wrote about first meeting Dani last year after reaching out to her for advice about his own experiences during that troubled time &#8211; And right now, the world needs more of it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Make no mistake: in today&#8217;s world, trans joy is an act of defiance and power.&#8217;\u00a0<font>\u00a0<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font>He added in the Microsoft documentary: &#8216;Life with Zoe is beautiful,&#8217;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font>&#8216;After nearly 23 years together, I finally have my whole partner, not just the part she wanted to show me.&#8217;<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font>He added how the then same-sex marriage, at the time, &#8216;[felt] right&#8217;, and in an essay praised Alexis for showing Zoe how &#8216;to be brave like her by example&#8217;.\u00a0\u00a0<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font>&#8216;My wife is gorgeous, witty, and social now that she&#8217;s finally comfortable in her own skin, he wrote before suffering bouts of complex PTSD, or CPTDS, and &#8216;a severe mental health crisis&#8217;
