A male stripper delivered a spicy lap dance for a 102-year-old resident’s birthday at a Durham care home.<\/p>\n
Pulses were sent racing at the West Lodge Care Home in Crook, County Durham after Monica Ruddick made the unusual request for her big day.<\/p>\n
Her two wishes included a visit to her local church and a strippergram who performed a raunchy dance.<\/p>\n
Staff at the home also threw a party for Monica and provided a big birthday cake for her.<\/p>\n
Monica said during the dance: ‘I’ve got the baby oil,’ before adding: ‘He’ll pass.’<\/p>\n

The stripper, Adam Price, volunteered to step up because his wife works at the home.<\/p>\n
He said: ‘Apparently she likes a man in uniform. I’m glad to make her day.’<\/p>\n
Monica, originally from Wolsingham in Durham, has had an extraordinary life, from working in a canteen during the\u00a0Second World War to living in a convent for 25 years.<\/p>\n
Gillian Hannah, one of the staff members, said: ‘Monica has lived a life as vibrant and diverse as the community she calls home. Despite never marrying or having children of her own, Monica’s life has been dedicated to caring for others.<\/p>\n
‘From looking after naughty boys in a boys’ home to supporting a woman in a TB centre, she worked tirelessly through the war in a canteen and spent 25years helping nuns in a convent.<\/p>\n

‘Monica is a living witness to history, having seen four kings and one queen on the throne.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘Her incredible journey has been fuelled by a spirit of resilience and a unique philosophy of life – to live it to the fullest, surrounded by the love and support of family and friends. She firmly believes that laughter is a must in life.’<\/p>\n
She added: ‘Remarkably, Monica retired at the age of 62 but continued her caregiving role, looking after her brother until he was 92.<\/p>\n
‘Even at 90, she displayed unwavering strength and love. Monica only moved into West Lodge Care Home at the impressive age of 101.<\/p>\n
‘Monica wanted a birthday celebration that combined the unexpected \u2013 a strippergram for her cheeky side and a visit to the church to celebrate the joy of life.’<\/p>\n
