Grandmother, 70, wins £10,000 a month for the next 30 years on the lottery – and says it’s given her reason to live to 100

A grandmother from Dorking has won £10,000 every month for the next 30 years which she says gives her reason to live to 100.
Doris Stanbridge, 70, from Dorking in Surrey, secured a lottery prize of £10,000 every month for the next 30 years in August.
Doris first had the thought to buy a ticket when she came across some money spiders in her home and garden and used the creepy crawlies sighting as a prompt.
It was during her 70th birthday party celebrations when she would find out that she was ‘set for life’.
She said, ‘We had my 70th birthday party so we had been busy. I saw an email from The National Lottery.

Since the win, Doris and Keith have treated themselves to a new bed and an airfryer and enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Cornwall with their extended family
‘I logged on to the App, thinking I had won £10 and then saw ”Congratulations, you’ve won £10K Thousand a month for 30 years”.
‘I said to Keith [Doris’ husband], ‘have I read that right? Does that say what I think it says? No, it can’t be!’.
The 70-year-old then went to her son-in-law to get a second opinion, and opened a bottle of her birthday champagne to celebrate her incredible win.
The following morning, Doris received the official confirmation from The National Lottery.
She added: ‘It still seems a bit strange when I think about the win and that I will get that money every month for 30 years. It gives me a reason to be around until I am 100!’
Since the win, Doris and Keith have treated themselves to a new bed and an airfryer and enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Cornwall with their extended family.
The happy couple also plan to revamp their house, their home of 50 years, and can’t wait to treat their family to an abroad holiday.
The 70-year-old said: ‘It will be my grandson’s first trip on an aeroplane. I have been looking at a villa in the country with a pool, and sunshine all the time!’
Doris won in The National Lottery’s Set For Life draw on August 3 after matching all the winning numbers that night: 2, 11, 17, 30, 38 and Life Ball 3.
