Strictly fans issue same complaint minutes into show as they demand stop

Strictly Come Dancing fans issued a complaint to the live audience just minutes into the latest instalment of the BBC programme.

The dance competition returned for its second live show on Saturday (September 30) night, with the contestants taking to the ballroom floor with another set of jam-packed routines. One of the first contestants to dance was Jody Cundy, who performed the Pasodoble to Thunderstruck by AC/DC alongside pro partner Jowita Przystal.

Despite his best efforts, the Paralympian received a score of 16 and found himself at second from bottom on the leaderboard. After his performance, judge Craig Revel Horwood didn't hold back when it came to critiquing the star and unsurprisingly, he was met with boos from the audience.

Later, Nigel Harman stepped onto the floor with Katya Jones, dancing the Viennese Waltz to Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez. This time it was Shirley Ballas who gave harsher feedback to the EastEnders actor, with the head judge noting the dance was "full of technical errors".

The room filled with boos from the audience as Shirley hit back. "Well you might learn something so hold on a minute," the 62-year-old quipped as she turned and faced the audience.

Following the response from the audience, fans headed to social media to beg them to "stop" booing the judges. One person wrote: "I hate when the audience boo… that was really good constructive feedback from a very accomplished dancer and they just boo over her. That will help him moving forward, it’s good stuff, grow up #strictly".

A second simply declared: "Stop f****g booing. #Strictly." After Jody's performance, another added: "Stop the booing – how else will he learn ??? #strictly."

A fourth echoed: "Well said Shirley – STOP THE BOOING #strictly." Someone else fumed: "I hate the audience. If a dance is s**t, the judges have to mark it accordingly. Stop f*****g booing. #Strictly." It was an incredible night for Layton Williams, who closed the show with the "dance of the night".

The 29-year-old actor scored a whopping 36 points for his quickstep routine with Nikita Kuzmin, sending the duo straight to the top of the leaderboard. While Les Dennis found himself with the lowest score on the sheet, earning 15 points for his Samba with Nancy Xu.
