Dancing On Ice to make major safety change after harrowing ice hockey death
Dancing on Ice producers have decided to take action in a bid to ensure nothing like that ever happens on their rink like what happened to ice hocket star Adam Johnson.
In a titanic match, in which the American's side, the Nottingham Panthers, played the Sheffield Steelers, in the Challenge Cup, a collision with a rival player ended in disaster. His opponent's ice skate horrifically sliced open his throat, which resulted in his emotional passing.
Following the horrifying incident, the Nottingham Panthers said it was a 'Freak accident'. Due to the nature of what happened, the police have launched an investigation.

With the world realising just how dangerous the blades are, organisations around the globe are taking action, with a focus on making sure that nothing like this ever happens again.
In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Frankie Seaman, who dazzled on Dancing on Ice from 2007-2016, has confirmed that the show will take the necessary steps.
The 50-year-old said: "I'm sure DOI bosses will be responding to this incident by putting more safety measures in place and be taking preventative precautions."
She continued: "Safety at the training sessions on the ice rinks (outside of the studio) are pretty solitary; it's more often than not just a pro and their celeb, so I would imagine they'll be stepping up supervision on those days.
"And hopefully reigning in the requests for the more dangerous tricks except from the more capable celebs/pro partnerships."
The talented skater knows just how dangerous the sport can be, having watched her former partner, Jeff Waters, sever an artery in his leg after slipping and falling on a fellow competitor's blade.
The tributes to Adam have come in thick and fast, with ice hockey purists expressing their dismay at losing such a likeable and sublime athlete.
On Sunday evening, fans gathered outside the Motorpoint Arena in huge numbers, to pay their respects to a man who's been described as an 'Outstanding ice hockey player' and a 'Great teammate'.
