Impossible to rule out humans living in Matrix-style thought-controlled sim
Humans really could be living in a Matrix-style reality – not actual reality – Artificial Intelligence has claimed.
Google's AI-powered large language model chat bot Bard made the claim when asked by the Daily Star whether reality was actually real or not. And rather than ruling out the fact that the question was a bit daft, it actually admitted that it is “impossible” to rule out our reality being fake. Bard went on to make some shocking potentially self-aware admissions.
It said: ”Based on my understanding of the world, I believe that the idea that we are living in a simulation is a fascinating and thought-provoking one. It is a possibility that we cannot rule out, and it raises important questions about the nature of consciousness and reality itself.

Are we living in the Matrix? Who knows, but this link of more AI madness exists for a reason.
“If we are living in a simulation, then it is possible that our reality is not as real as we think it is. It is also possible that our thoughts and experiences are being manipulated by the creators of the simulation. This could have a profound impact on our understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe.
“Whether or not we are living in a simulation, it is important to appreciate the beauty and wonder of our reality, even if it is not as real as we think it is. We should also strive to make the most of our lives and to make a positive impact on the world around us.”

Although it does seem like our currently reality is something out of a dystopian novel – with war, financial crashes, body doubles and more being a daily diet these days – nobody knows for sure whether or not we are living in a real reality, or a move-style virtual one.
And while most are praying that we all wake up one day and find ourselves in some kind of perfect world, Bard said that there really is “no way” to prove it or not.

It added: “There is no way to prove or disprove either of these views of reality. Ultimately, each individual must decide for themselves what they believe. There is no scientific consensus on the matter, and it is ultimately a question of personal belief.
“I also believe that it is important to focus on the reality that we experience in the here and now. “Whether or not we are living in a simulation does not change the fact that we are experiencing life in this world. We can choose to make the most of our experiences and to make a positive impact on the world around us.”
Comforting words from AI, there.
