Driver sacked for 'watching porn and performing sex act' while on road
Van driver is sacked for ‘watching porn and performing a sex act’ while driving through the heart of London in ‘shocking’ incident that left even Jeremy Vine SPEECHLESS
- EXCLUSIVE: Jeremy Vine said the shocking footage ‘breaks some sort of record’
A van driver has been sacked with ‘immediate effect’ after he was caught allegedly watching porn and performing a sex act as he drove through the capital.
The former Custom Intelligence Security driver was filmed using his phone while driving past Cannon Street station in the City of London as dozens of pedestrians try to cross the road.
The footage shows him apparently watching porn and performing a sex act while driving through rush hour traffic.
Central Intelligence Security said it was ‘shocked’ by the video and has terminated the driver’s employment.
The company apologised for ‘any offence’ caused by its former employee and has since spoken to current staff about policies regarding ‘acceptable behaviour’.
The video has gained significant attention on social media, including by avid cyclist and BBC star Jeremy Vine who said the incident has left him ‘speechless’.

Avid cyclist and broadcaster Jeremy Vine (pictured) was left speechless by the video of the driver
The shocking video shows driver using his phone while driving past Cannon Street station. A cyclist approaches the van from the passenger side of the vehicle and starts to film the driver on his phone. He says: ‘Another one, really?’
The cyclist then approaches the van from the driver’s side where the man can be seen watching something on his phone.
The motorist, who is driving a Custom Intelligent Security van, proceeds to drive off past Bank station while watching the footage as pedestrians, cyclists and other vehicles surround him during rush hour.
When the van comes to a stop at the traffic lights, the cyclist then launches into an expletive rant as he gets a clearer view of what the man is watching on his screen.
‘F****** porn,’ he shouts. ‘Driving around watching porn. You’re f****** kidding me.’
As the van driver remains oblivious to the fact he is being filmed, the cyclist points out that he appears to be performing a sex act as well.
The footage ends with the cyclist laughing hysterically in disbelief as they go separate ways at a busy junction.
Mr Vine, who has been filming and exposing his own battles with motorists in London for several years, said the incident left him speechless.
He told MailOnline: ‘This breaks some sort of record. I have no words.’
Sharing the footage, the 58-year-old later tweeted: ‘Masturbating at the wheel of a vehicle while watching porn. This is extreme even for Cannon Street.’

Custom Security has since confirmed to MailOnline the driver is no longer employed with the company.
‘We can confirm that the individual identified via social media coverage has departed our business with immediate effect,’ a spokesperson said.
‘Any such behaviour will not be tolerated in our business. In light of this incident, we have taken the opportunity to remind our colleagues about what is expected of them as employees and of the relevant policies we have in place regarding acceptable behaviour.
‘We sincerely apologise for any offence caused by our former employee.’
News of the employee’s termination comes after the firm launched an urgent investigation into his conduct.
A spokesperson previously said: ‘We were shocked to see the video posted online from a vigilant member of the public and want to thank them for bringing it to our attention.’
The video has since gone viral and several social media users joined Mr Vine in condemning the driver.
One user said: ‘I’m speechless, I hope this goes to court. Please tell me you reported that.’
A second posted: ‘Horrific, breaks so many laws and moral codes.’
Several social media users, including Jeremy Vine, reacted to the video after it went viral
A third wrote: ‘That is….I’m lost for words! I hope you get to share with the magistrates!’
Another tweeted: ‘Just when you think you’ve seen it all.’
And a fifth simply said: ‘Absolute mental.’
Mr Vine has had several run-ins of his own with drivers in recent years. Earlier this week, he posted a video from his helmet camera in which he claimed he was almost ‘kebabed’ by a van turning into his path on Tavistock Place, near Euston station.
The Radio 2 DJ, who has almost 800,000 followers on Twitter, also shared footage of a near collision in September when a large white van almost backed over him until he banged on the door.
MailOnline has contacted Custom Intelligent Security for comment on whether they are aware of the footage of what appears to be one of their drivers.
Custom Intelligent Security describes itself as company which helps clients to ‘identify their security threats, such as loss-reduction, risk mitigation, and data protection (GDPR).’
