Groom is slammed for 'ridiculous' outfit at his wedding – people say the dress code was 'found it in the garbage-chic’ | The Sun

A WEDDING guest has revealed the attire from the casual wedding they attended.

Critics slammed the groom for his outfit, calling it "garbage-chic."

The anonymous wedding guest u/lavender_dreams95 shared the groom's outfit in a forum dedicated to wedding shaming.

The groom, although he was getting married that day, sported a casual beige T-shirt, paired with shorts and a watch.

Worse, the shirt was covered in darker, unknown stains.

Another photo revealed the bride had worn a traditional white dress, complete with flowers.

Other guests of the casual wedding, however, took the dress code seriously, with one woman wearing a T-shirt, jeans, and no shoes.

"Yes, that's what he wore and then the barefoot lady in the second pic," the guest said, leaving no room to speculate if it was just another guest to bystanders.

"This is what the groom wore during his vows, stains and all."

People took to the comments to criticize his outfit, many not holding back.

"Was this at a prison‘s visiting room?" joked one viewer.

Others also shared similar guesses: "I did too until I spotted what looks like an Apple watch on the groom's wrist, maybe that's where the wedding budget went?" said another.

"Was their dress code ‘Found it in the garbage-chic’?" asked a third.

Some took the photos as a lesson: "We tend to complain about people spending obscene amounts of money on weddings, I guess this is the other end of that scale," said one viewer.

Many thought the groom's attire was inexcusable, budget be damned.

"You don't need to have money to wear a t-shirt without stains," argued one commenter.

"He could spend $30 at Walmart and at least look half decent," agreed another.
