Rio Ferdinand has hair and beard transplant in Turkey and is thrilled with results

Legendary footballer Rio Ferdinand has shown off his impressive hair and beard transplant.

The former Manchester United star, who married his girlfriend Kate Wright back in September 2019 in Turkey, travelled back to the country for the treatment at Dr Emrah Cinik's clinic, reports Daily Star.

A viral TikTok video shows the ace sporting legend getting the treatment done. Rio was heard saying: "I'm here to get my beard sorted out, I've got a couple of holes, a couple of patches. Getting my hair transplant done. I can't wait to get it done. Listen, if you're ever thinking about getting yours done, this is the place to be."

The TNT Sports pundit was really chuffed with how everything turned out. He even signed a United shirt that hangs on the clinic's wall alongside those from other football stars who have visited. Stars looking their best doesn't come cheap – transplants at Dr Cinik's start at £2,027 and can go as high as £3,271.

Rio isn't the only footie star to visit this popular clinic. Gabriel Magalhaes, who plays for Arsenal, is also sporting a fuller hairline after his own visit earlier this year.

The clinic wall is adorned with jerseys from football legends, including Brazil's Rivaldo, Liverpool's Ryan Babel, Arsenal's Bacary Sagna and Sevilla's Ivan Rakitic. Many other celebs have also opted for the procedure.

Last year, Ferdinand explained on Gabby Logan's podcast why he dyes his beard to avoid a 'Dalmatian' appearance. He said: "I'm not ashamed of having grey hair, I don't care, but it looks better if it's all one colour."

He added: "If it all went grey, the whole beard was grey, I'd let it just go. But it's like patchwork. I'd like it, that distinguished look, if it was all grey, I wouldn't care. But it's the patchwork business, I'm like a Dalmatian, I don't like it."
