A FITNESS influencer has revealed exactly what to say when ordering a Pumpkin Spice Latte this autumn if you're trying to lose weight. 

Courtney Black explained that a standard Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte will cost you 390 calories – but her altered version is only 96. 


The 27-year-old explained that people aiming to be in a calorie deficit – consuming fewer calories than you burn to lose weight – need to order their coffees “much differently”.

Pumpkin Spice Lattes have become the drink of the autumnal season, with coffee lovers patiently awaiting its return to menus every September.

Courtney urged people not to let their morning treat “ruin your fitness goals”. 

Instead, you should order your Pumpkin Spice Latte with half almond milk and half water to reduce the calories in it.

What’s more, Courtney recommended only asking for one pump of the flavoured syrup to keep the calories down. 

“Do you order a latte every morning and not even count the calories but are trying to stay in a calorie deficit?” she said.

“A pumpkin spice latte is 390 calories. This is 2700 calories per week on top of your daily intake.

“This could take you from calorie deficit to maintenance calories or even surplus.

“But who doesn’t like a latte? And if I’m being honest you won’t catch me drinking black coffee. 

“Coffee for me is a joy, a ritual and I like mine milky!

The fitness guru shared her coffee hack on TikTok.

When fans asked her if her version doesn’t taste as good as the sugary original, she assured them that they “won’t be disappointed”.

“Love the half milk, half water idea,” one commented. 

“I’m taking this into account for post-baby,” another penned.
