AN interior designer has shared the four ways you can elevate your space.

The decor expert explained how to make your home look more expensive on a budget.

In the video, an employee of Serentify (@serentify) revealed the easy changes that can improve any room.

For his first suggestion, the host of the clip explained: "When I think of opulent homes my first thought is always beautiful custom millwork so naturally my first tip is adding wall paneling.

"This can give your home an expensive custom look and, depending on the material, can actually be quite affordable."

He recommended: "Borden Batten is a popular and affordable option that is fairly easy to DIY and adds so much dimension and interest to your space."

He also advised viewers to pay particular attention to an "often overlooked aspect of home décor."

The interior expert revealed that light switch covers can add a lot to your space.

"Upgrading them to a metal or decorative cover can make a big difference in how polished your home looks," he told his audience.

He explained that upgrading dated air vents for steel or seamless custom covers can have a similar effect.
