Is it safe to have sex outside?
The big question might be whether it’s safe to have sex outdoors – but the answer is a lot more complicated.

The website continues that this includes everything from bugs to poisonous plants.

Laura Borichevsky, founder and host of Sex Outside, a podcast about – rather aptly – having sex outside, also gave her hot take to the website.
She explained: “Look for a spot that has the right amount of privacy that will make you and any partners you might be with feel safe and comfortable.
“This includes being out of sight of trails and campsites, too, as other folks around you haven’t consented to being witness to someone else having sex.”
Meanwhile, it’s important to consider the legal repercussions of your actions on stripping off while getting hot and heavy where there could be prying eyes…
Is it illegal to have sex outside?
The subject of sex outdoors is a tough one, as while it’s not always considered illegal, there are a number of laws in place that directly relate to it and could land you in trouble.
For instance, the Sexual Offences Act of 2003 states that indecent exposure could be recognised as a type of sexual crime.
Therefore, if a person is seen to be displaying intimate parts of themselves while in public, they are at risk of finding themselves in hot water.
The same act defines sexual activity in a public lavatory as a crime.
While punishments may vary from scenario to scenario, most offences are punished with a caution or fines.
But in the extrme circumstances, if you receive a charge for indecent exposure you could be placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
It is unlikely that the police would take no action or let you off with a verbal warning.
Can you get arrested for having sex outside?
As mentioned, while the act of having sex outside is not strictly prohibited, there are instances when it can lead to arrest.
