A SAVVY mum has shared a simple trick to turn any outfit into a festive showstopper.
Casey Major-Bunce took to social media to share her money-saving hack just in time for the festive season.
With many of us spending our hard-earned money on presents and Christmas food shops – a new Christmas outfit for ourselves is the last priority on our lists.
While you may have felt you need a whole new outfit for Christmas or New Year's Eve – you couldn't be more wrong.
The mum-of-two's clever hack will mean you can grab whatever you already have in your closet.
She said: "I'm going to turn this dress and these tights into a Christmas outfit for £3."

She took a gorgeous black dress and hung it up on the door frame.
But there was clearly some festive sparkle missing so Casey went in with a £3 glitter spray from Claire's.
"It doesn't transfer and it comes out easily in the wash," she added.
The dress now looked perfect for a Christmas or New Year's party and what's more is that the glitter can be used on loads of items.

She continued: "And glitter tights can set you back £10 so why not spray them. The cost of the can of spray is £3 what a bargain."
The glitter hairspray is currently on offer for £3 instead of £6 on the Claire's website.
The shimmer in a bottle also comes in gold and rainbow sparkles.
The clip posted to her Instagram account @majormumhacks soon went viral with over 2,500 likes.
People couldn't wait to try the money-saving hack for themselves.
One person wrote: "Owww never thought of this, definitely going to try."
Another commented: "Wow, this blows my mind."
"Oh I love this idea,," penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "Love this hack!"
"What a hack,” claimed a fifth.
