Wedding guest slammed for being ‘body confident’ and wearing see-through dress – but others say it’s ‘inappropriate' | The Sun

A STYLISH fashion lover has been brutally slammed after arriving to a wedding in an 'inappropriate' see-through frock.

Finding the perfect wedding guest outfit to wear to someone's nuptials is just as stressful as planning the ceremony itself – but luckily for Meghan Korte, she was convinced she had nailed the look.

In fact, she was so chuffed with the frock, she even took to Instagram to share the see-through tulle dress she had opted for in a body positivity post.

According to Meghan, from California, the USA, she had struggled with body image but finally managed to overcome the fear and proudly showed off her ''midsize'' figure to other wedding attendees.

But whilst fellow guests of the lavish ceremony had arrived in jaw-dropping maxi dresses, including a stunning velvet khaki number, Meghan had opted for an almost transparent dress, wearing a sleeveless bodysuit underneath.

The frock, she posed in the video, also had a huge bow detailing on the front, and Meghan had styled in with a pair of bedazzled pumps.

OH MAMA

I'm a hot 62-year-old… but trolls say I look like mutton dressed as lamb

''When you stop hiding your body and waiting to be ''skinny'' to wear what you want,'' the social media influencer wrote alongside the clip.

Meghan, whose page has more than 300k followers, also shared an uplifting message to those dealing with low confidence and urged to ''stop waiting''.

''Does this sound like you?:
“If I could just lose ___, then I could do…”

''Or what about: “I would wear that if I didn’t have….”
''Or the one I used a lot: “I wish I looked like___ so I could wear that”.

However, whilst she may have had the best intentions when posting the now-viral clip on social media, the reaction was slightly different to what she had hoped for.

Thousands of the 2.7million viewers raced to comments, where many deemed the dress not fit for attending nuptials.

Someone else agreed, writing: ''Ladies. Class is always better than a**.

''Literally always. Nothing 'better' about being more easily available to the average eye.''

''You look fine. The dress is a poor choice for a wedding. Sorry,'' a third chimed in.

''To me, I'd want a little more tulle detail, otherwise it kind of looks like a playboy bunny outfit with a single layer of tulle and not as elevated as a look as I'd like to see. But if you love it, go for it!''
